  1. I would say anywhere in the region of £500+ for the Tony Clarke manship sold one a few weeks back but I dont know what it fetched, and the Eddie Parker if its the raised matrix copy even more Hope that helps.
  2. Last one i saw went for £500 but that was in my opinion very cheap. I sold the Smith Brothers version for a £1000 last year (Soul dimension same record).
  3. Yeh it is but could have pulled it off popsike as this info is given on one of the sales. Ive asked a couple of Qs unless you have the records or good knowledge of them you wouldnt have a clue and guess what no reply to mine.
  4. Your right you can and its legal, not sure if its legal to play it in public though and as to whether a artist might be being cheated out of his or her royalties as mentioned in a earlier comment i think they would welcome more exposure of a tune they had long forgotten about. In recent times i can think of the Johnny praye tune Cant get too much love as being a perfect example Butch played it, somone booted a few, lots of people loved it, next thing its on a CD royalties all round.
  5. Try the b side of Baby love Ask any girl Its not bad heard it played a few times at venues.
  6. Masqueraders - how Jimmy Wallace - I'll be back Kenny Wells - Isnt it just a shame
  7. vg+ to mint will normally add about 35% to the value of big ticket items less for more common records also you have to consider whos been grading them before you buy.
  8. Picked one up last year in mint con £400 a bargain, Got to willing side just edges it for me last one i saw went for about £1000 top tune.
  9. To be honest i would be really piss*d off if i was goin on after somone had just played a load of boots that i might have been intending to play on original vinyl. As has already been said you can buy loads and loads of classey tunes for not to much money these days, so i agree with most of the comments already made, but i have to admit it would'nt bother me either if i was out having a beer and not Djing I would'nt even think about going up and checking a label double standards I know. You got to try and see it from both angles the Dj collector like myself with 25 yrs of collecting originals getting a bit piss8d off with it and the paying punter who could'nt give a toss both happen to have a valid point of view maybe the answer is less is more when it comes to Djs and events.
  10. Your right chalky its top class. Thanks for your help.
  11. Just cant get up - by The benefits on Invalidity
  12. Milton Bennett - Whats one more lie. Does anyone know anything about this artist/record or what label recorded it and whats the likelyhood of a copy turning up. I know it was a 100 club giveaway this year but its the original i want the info on. Would appreciate any help on this one. Thanks Brownie
  13. Yeh over £3k a few months back whos paying this sort money good tune but its not that rare. Seen them in the £1k region over the last couple of years.
  14. Doing work experience in a second hand record shop in weston super mare in 84 i managed to find a untold amount of original us imports far to many to list, but some that stand out for obvious reasons are Johnny Honeycutt Triode, 2x johnny Praye yes the extra one has been sold, as well as cody black king blue issue plus many others and yes i did pay for them I think? Still enjoying the Paris tune Dave even though it was a few bob.
  15. I agree the flip is better. What about His version of I Like Every Thing About You, pure genius somtimes credited to the contours unissued. I will spin both these tunes next week in Yate(20 OCT). Will be posting details and recent playlists in events talk over the weekend.
  16. The original has the matrix numbers stamped in with a wide but very small H or I depending on what way you look at it. Stamped in there is also a symbol that looks like a hat stamped in both sides. Hope this helps
  17. Cairos - Dont fight it, great double sider
  18. About £30 to £50 depending on the text colour I think red is the more expensive.
  19. Pat Brady sold one for over a £1100 last month and £950 on ebay recently
  20. Mamie Galore went for £850 at the end if anyone interested
  21. Can somone explain why you would pay over £900 for Frank Beverly on Gamble which is a current item on the auction im totally confused by it. Its a classic tune but you can get it for alot less elsewhere.
