If I had a demo I'd price it at £50 a issue more, but like you say you could proberly pick it up for £25 to £30 if you were prepared to wait. If its M- you should get around the £40 to £50. But you never can tell, stick it up and see what happens. Good luck with it Darren www.raresoul45s.co.uk

Well I think I'll speak up for the record, i love it and always have I dont know how many are knocking about but it aint many. I seriously rate it and so do many others, but each to there own i suppose. I suppose the argument thats theres a lot better £10 records out there is a fair point but you could say that about any record. I admit I did have a bid on it but lost out at the end. Always a good debate on the merits of certain records its good we dont all want the same ones.(although we often do) Cheers Darren. www.raresoul45s.co.uk

I like to keep it as simple as possible, so i always say yes its yours on receipt of a small deposit, normally 10%. Then you find out whos serious and whos not. Latley Ive had many offers on big ticket records that people ask me to hold with no deposit which I wont, unless they are people who I deal with on a regular basis or know. That said if someone calls me and says can i give you £50 on £1k+ item and i'll pay in a 6 or 8 weeks I have absolutley no problem with that as long as we all know where we stand. I think any reasonable buyer will understand if you ask for a deposit on a record over a few hundred quid. With regard to naming people i think thats fair if someone lets you down, you dont have to slag anyone off just say let down by ........... and they can then respond and defend themselves if they want. I would say its totally legit as these have been around for years not in any numbers though. I thought I had one of only a couple of copies, the one Ive got although I dont have it to hand to check has got a raised X and bell sound stamp in the dead wax. It looks like the same record as last month to me maybe the buyer didnt complete the sale. ATB Darren www.raresoul45s.co.uk

Big demand on it though Nev I stuck one on the site a couple of weeks back at around £300 and it sold within 48hrs and I had half a dozon enquiries after that about it. I see theres one in the sales section at the moment at £500 a little optomistic in my book, but again its supply and demand as we all know. ATB Darren www.raresou45s.co.uk -

This will have its day very soon as its starting to get pushed at some of the more forward thinking venues if its not in refo you can check it out on my website if youve not heard it, both sound files are there. This week's Manship results perlease
Raresoul45s replied to Ady Croasdell's topic in Look At Your Box
My opinion is its a good idea to publish the results as it will encourage propective sellers to sell through Johns auction as they can see the prices he gets hence driving up revenue from that function. However i see his point about adding a subscription service as his knowledge cant be bought up to now anyway. I think hes working on the assumption that some off his subscribers will make the results public once the service is up and running therefore getting the auction publicity and increasing revenue through the subscription. Cant really see a flaw in the thinking from the business point of view but maybe until that service is running he could of allowed us to continue viewing and commenting on the weekly results, however maybe that was difficult to continue in the new site build. Cheers Darren www.raresoul45s.co.uk
