Your right, great tune IMO and has never been about in any sort of quantity. A couple of weeks back JM had one on auction which only fetched £350 (a steal in anyones books) the same day one went through ebay for £500. Truth is the record is off most peoples radar as you mention, however this does have potential to be a future biggie. I sold one last year for £900 which I thought was still a good buy at that price as its so rarely seen. Its known to many of the top collectors & Jocks but not the masses. ATB Darren

Bargain of the last few auctions has to be this Limelights - Don't Leave Me Baby - UNCLE £846 Stupidly rare and never seen, whoever bagged that has to be very pleased with themselves. I would of thought it could have gone well over the £2k. Cheers Darren

You have just highlighted the dilemma, some people might assume its a original. I dont really get to bothered about it myself although I will always state the word boot or 2nd issuein the description so theres no ambiguity. Cheers Darren

To follow on from what Pete & others have said its a mine field and in all honesty boots normally always attract a higher price than a legit reissue anyway. Some of the 70s boots such as Mel Britt etc fetch £50 a pop and I once got over £100 on ebay for the realistic Salvadors boot. As Mr Tag (hi John) says whats really doe's it matter as long as your not trying to pass it off as a original.

I get offered to Dj at rallies and rarely take it up, as it is always as everyone mentions the same playlists but there is room for abit of creativity if you choose your moment. The last one I did was at Weston Last month and I got to say I loved Djing that night. The floor stayed packed even when I played things like The Sound Masters, Tommy & The Derbys, Lonnie Russ + a few others you would'nt assume would be there bag but they seemed to love it and danced for the whole hour. I must admit I left thinking are things changing? it seems not reading this thread but that was my experience. It also helps if there is a dedicated room for just northern as alot of the idiots go to the main room although there aint nowhere near as many of them these days as there were thank God. Finally I wonder what the scootering fraternity would say about the progressive northern scene? I know most on here will say I couldn't give shite what they think and I suppose many scooterists would say the same about this thread, but its a good thread and each to his own is my thoughts. I sold one this year to a guy on here it was only VG but played through fine, he got himself a bargain. Thats the only copy I've had.
