What about Frankie Bev then, I bet his punter and John himself was surprised by that price just over £1k. Every week I read the JM auction thread and theres often 45s that go through cheap and theres always 45s that exceed the accepted price like last week Donna King £1400 who'd believed that would fetch 40% more than FB in 2012. If you ask me FB is still the harder 45 to get and the price is £1500 for me today, Donna King £1k tops but that's auctions for you. If I had both today for sale, despite these results those would be the prices I'd be putting on the 45s. I prefer to set sell my sales in general its just so much more straight forward for everyone and people seem to like it. Cheers Darren

Hi All Just a quick reminder on the Zodiacs finishing 11.30am 19/7/12 on Ebay. I've found a little more information on the label it was set up by the band themselves to release their 45s and this release to everyones knowledge I've spoken is there only recording on it. The 2nd issue on Curtis Statens CRS label (and I doub't you'll find that either) carries a different version of Rough Nut titled Hey Rough Nut with overdubbed horns.

Pete as far as I'm aware the 78 run was legit, I only have notes on the original so have no detail. If you say its a boot then ok (that makes 3 boots), I was lead to believe it was a legit repress. That said you were on the scene then and I was only 7 so I guess I bow to your knowledge and recollections. Best Darren

Counterfeit has PB in the deadwax, there was also a legit second press in 78. original has GSFM then NBO scratched out and 1179 and an A which curls under the letter itself. Taken from the copy I have foresale right now (shameless i know) Cheers Darren
