  1. Hi Chris anybody can contribute. Just write out your story and mail in onto my email nicolaanderson271@btinternet.com If you have any problems don't hesitate to contact me and I will get back to you as quickly as I can. SHS Dave thank you for thinking ahead but we ought to get this one finished and published first nice little story
  2. Steve you will be pleased to know that Dave has already sent in some contributions. With regard to your two other points, "most unsual finds" and "the one that got away", we are also looking for stories/contributions about these as well. After all it is all about Record finding (or not) and your own experience. Alot of people who I have spoken to didn't think that they have anything to contribute as they never found (or weren't the first to find) any of the big records/unreleased etc etc. However as the conversation has gone on and I have been told at least one story about their experience(s), I have pointed out that they have got a story to tell and asked if they would like to contribute to the book. At the end of the day everybody has a story to tell and Andy and I would like to give as many people as possible the opportunity to contribute. Atb Nicola
  3. Hi Byrney, we haven't got an actual ETA at the moment as we are still collating stories but with an end of spring early summer deadline we are working towards the end of the year. I hope this helps.
  4. Hello again. As this thread has been moved into Look At Your Box and it has taken me ages to find it again, I thought I would bring it back upto the top so that you all know where it is.
  5. Thank you Kris, I will have a look when I get home tonight.
  6. With Christmas and New Year over with I thought it best to retrieve this thread again. I am still going through my list as I expect Andy is too. We now have a wide variety of contributors but once again if there is anyone who wants to contribute please don't hestitate to get in touch with either myself or Andy. As stated in a previous post we have moved the deadline to mid/end of February.
  7. Thank you for pulling this thread up Ian. I shall print it off and have a proper read when I sit down later. Andy will probably be doing the same thing but I will let him know when I contact him later. Cheers this will be very helpful.
  8. Morning Dave Hope you and Donna are well and had a fruitful as well as enjoyable time in the States? Andy and I have decided that the deadline we are going to try and work to is now going to be mid to late February. This way we can all enjoy the Christmas festivities. I shall be typing up the rest of Gilly's stories and I know Andy will be doing his, so we know it's not a five minute job and if anyone needs any tips etc Please don't be afraid to contact me (or Andy) and I will do my very best to help. We are both also still trying to work through (and adding to) our lists and contact as many people as we can think of that should be asked if they would like to be included. Therefore, I will ask once again if there is anybody that would like to contribute please do not hesitate to get in touch with myself or Andy.
  9. So sorry to hear this sad news. Our thoughts are with you Mandy and your family and friends. All our love Nicola and Gilly x
  10. I just thought that I would bring this thread back up. Things are steadily moving along and we are getting some stories in. 12. Just thought I would bring this back up in case anyone hasn't already seen it and is interested in contributing. If you are interested please don't hesitate to contact Andy or myself through SS or alternatively email me on nicolaanderson271@btinternet.com Thanks

  22. Firstly I would like to thank Andy for letting me help him and be his partner in this project. Right as promised here are the names of some of the people we have managed to get on board so far Butch, Ady Croasdell, Mick Smith, Dave Raistrick, Andy Rix, Guy Hennigan, Carl Fortnum, Jock, Andy Whittmore, Arthur Fenn, Soul Sam,Baz Atkinson, Steve Guarnori, Taffy, Mark Speakman, Chico, Roger Banks, Johnny Beggs, Simon Hunt, Pete Hulatt, Gilly, and of course Andy Dyson. As Andy states above if any of you have anything you would like to contribute we would love to hear from you. You can contact me direct on my email nicolaanderson271@btinternet.com
  23. Hi Karen, hope you and Pete are well? My mum also used to frequent the 100 club in the late 60's along with her sister and she was sad to hear of it's possible closure. She thought it was great when I started to go to the 100 club and when we visited my Aunty in Canada in the late 90's it was one of the first things she told her. There are also a couple of old school friends parents in my village/town that used to go down those famous stairs many years ago for the Jazz nights (they may have even met your mum :o)). This came to light when several years ago a friend had a 100 club T-shirt on and Dave(my old school friends Dad) told us about when he used to visit as often as he could for the Jazz nights and live bands - like you say it's quite bizzare. I hope the 100 club's days aren't numbered (and will support where I can) but if they are I will always have my memories (and photos) especially of Djing there. However it is Ady I owe my thanks to and I will follow him whenever possible to the new home of the 6ts. Nicola
  24. Adam I am not 100% sure on the price but I am sure I have seen it for sale for anything from £50 upwards. The only reason I know is because I gave (it was going for about 30-40 then) Gerry Brown my copy a few years ago thinking that I had a spare but then found out I didn't, so have been looking for another copy. Only problem is one never comes up when I have the spare cash or it has been demoted on my wants list (in fact it's not that near the top at the moment)but I won't be defeated and will keep looking after all thats apparently what this record collecting hobby is all about. I am sorry this probably doesn't help
