  5. The Champion - Willie Mitchell when I was in P7 (12 years old) gary
  6. Terry Callier's Ordinary Joe always reminds me of Barney. The guy was a superstar and hugely missed. gary
  7. Good god, that must have taken a seriously long time to write such a serious description about such a seriously rare record. This guy is seriously serious!! I got bored after the first line but was compelled to read on to see how often it could al be repeated...seriously!!! gary
  8. Hi Simon If you're prepared to travel there's a fairly healthy scene going on up here. Here's a calendar of some of the stuff going on. Glasgow has Blacktrackin, which I believe is sadly coming to an end soon. Don't forget Dundee and Aberdeen!!! https://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~abdnpaul/power.html gary
  9. since I was 12 years old and got my first batch of records....30 years ago. Kind of makes me feel old. gary

  12. Nev Sweet indeed. I was sure I'd read something about it being legit but managed to talk myself out of it. Probably £6 well spent then!!! THANKS AGAIN CHAPS! gary
  13. Thanks everyone for the advice. gary
  14. yes, it's clearly very recently done, I thought I'd read somewhere that it was a legit release, so I wanted to clarify one way or t'other. gary
  15. I know this was previously un released and it's on a Kent single but was the Ref-O-ree release legit or a boot? thanks gary
  16. Every day, without fail. I can't rmember the last time I listned to the radio in the car. It is very much a passion. I used to buy and listen to other types of music but I find the older I get the more blinkered I get. I thought it would have been the other way round . gary
  17. Bob Thanks for you help, again! The track is a medley of tunes such a s natural high, Crystal Blue persuasion, I love you for all seasons, etc. Very nice renditions in my opinion. gary
  18. Thanks Bo. I checked Popsike and this one went through in December last year for $169. I'd love to hear any other stuff from them as their vocals are wonderful. gary
  19. Bob Thanks for that. I stupidly assumed both sides are the same as they have the same title (no mention of pt1 or pt2). Just played the B side and it's a continuation of side 1. Both sides are a medley of known sweet tunes. I'll put them up on the deep/sweet thread so you can hear them. A curious record indeed! Incidentally I got it for £13!!! thanks again gary
  20. Picked this up recently and was hoping someone could give me a bit of info on it. I believe it's from Texas. Who are they, rarity etc? Thanks gary
  21. Well done Mike, you've clearly got the patience of a saint and a big heart! gary
