Otis Clay - It was jealousy. Someone grab this wonderful slab of soul. Gift at that price

Any more info on this one please. Can't seem to find anything on him.

Opened my set at last after weeks of anticipation and they're all present, BUT Temps skips repeatedly, bah humbug. Oh well will address that matter in a few days. Played em and very pleased. Was great watching my 11 year old daughter spinning and jumping to Frank Wilson filling the house with soulful merriment at 10 am on Xmas morning rather than blasting out some crappy boy band. Merry Xmas to all. Gav

Montclairs Hung Up On Your Love-Bill Bush Im Waiting
Illusive replied to Stewart P's topic in Record Wants
Bill Bush on eBay ending today. -
What a great post. Written with true emotion that evoked a few memories for me too. Clifton Hall is just down the road from me now (or at least Clifton park, the hall's long gone) and every time I drive past with my kids I revisit my youth with them and listen to there yawns of boredom. We were spoilt in South Yorks in the late 70's and early 80's for venues but Clifton Hall will be remembered by many as the venue where we heard lots of new and more contemporary sounds and not just the big floor fillers from across the country. I thinks it's fair to say Clifton carried forward the more modern vibe that still lives on strong to this day.

Couple of hours till it ends. Lots of lower end bargains still to be had.

Was bound to happen, and it won't be long before others follow suit and post all of the discs separately and turn a tidy little profit. Most of the mainstream soul fraternity won't be aware of the 7's box so won't have snapped one up. The minute they're all gone the individual discs will begin to surface, especially when some of the discs become more popular and gather the weekend soul club following.

The year is 2013 and this is a cracking homage to a sublime song by a young un with the balls to give it a go. She could cop out and sing shit like gaga et al and make herself a tidy little packet along the way but she hasn't. Fair play to her for sticking to her guns and singing what she enjoys, and maybe introducing some of the younger target audience to some of beloved tracks. Who knows, that might spark a light that gets em looking deeper into 'The Vaults'.

Well it seems it's still available to buy from Universal despite all of the expressed concerns, and no mention of delays in shipping: https://store.universal-music.co.uk/restofworld/soul+r+b/various-artists-the-motown-7s-box/invt/0600753454251
