  1. Jackie Wilson "Because of you" Mono/Stereo Brunswick Wdj Mint £90 + P&P ON HOLD Jackie's hardest and most sought after 45 in stunning condition. I haven't played this to make a sound file to ensure it remains in minty condition. YouTube clip below is for reference only. PM or e-mail enquiries to illusiveoldsoul@yahoo.co.uk Thanks for looking Gav

  5. Unknown to many is suspect Kev, and it did attract some attention on the night. Hopefully will spark others interest and feature on one or two sets now.

  7. I've just stumbled across this fascinating documentary of the Mizzell Brothers, on the back of hunting down more information on a recent Marvin Gaye 'Record Store Day" vinyl release. Thanks to Mark Randle for the lead here: The documentary is a little amateurish, but non the less fascinating and features references to lots things of interest to members on here including The Moments on Hog, unreleased Marvin tracks and Motown insights. I've only watched the first hour so can't vouch for it all as it's over two hours but up to press is well worth a watch. Apologies if it's been posted before, but even so I'm sure there'll be many who won't have seen it. Best Gav https://www.redbullmusicacademy.com/lectures/mizell-brothers--sky-high-brothers

  9. A friendly word of caution for anyone now in pursuit of this cracking disc and hopefully to save you some time in the process. I followed the link to several stockists of Blue Note Authorised Dealers in the states and thought i'd hit gold as I found a number of the discs and some were offering free P&P for orders over $50 !! BUT after registering accounts and trying to pay I discovered all of those with discs DON'T SHIP OVERSEAS Let the diggin' begin
  10. Crikey. Judging by the last few posts of Paul Ackley's playlists along with this one I can only look on in awe and envy at the quality of his collection. Plenty of soulful gems from the other dj's on the night too which must have made for a great night out.

  12. WOW That must have been some night. What fabulous sets. I'll be gobsmacked if Brett posts his playlist as he's pretty guarded about letting the cat out of the proverbial bag so everyone can go hunting his exclusives down.
  13. Temptations "Stay" Motown 12" promo £45 ovno incl recorded delivery VG+ON HOLD Payment by Paypal as family & friends please or add 4% or bank transfer or concealed cash. This 12" includes the original LP track and 5 alternate remixes with a wonderful accapella version. Minor paper scuffs to disc and minor surface noise in places (listen to the sound file to judge primary track for yourself. Similarly surface noise on other tracks which are more pronounced when orchestration is less evident, so I've graded this as VG+ but would anticipate most would grade as EX ). Pics of label and vinyl only on this as too big to scan. Soundfile is from the disc for sale. No hassle refund. Buyer pays postage. Temptations Stay.mp3 Thanks for looking Gav
  14. Hopefully putting up their revised on-line price guide.
  15. Single sided promos without Just as sure.
  16. No issues with mine and the set is worth the price for The Isleys disc alone. What a stormer.
  17. Great spot Dave. Disenchanted with the scene or what? Or maybe very clever marketing as this disc and any others he's got for sale are gonna reach a bigger audience thanks to Dave !
  18. Dave sold that almost as soon as he posted.
  19. And look here Chris has another one up for sale and there's 8 bids on it already .......https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Northern-Soul-70s-45-Delreys-Incorperated-Destination-Unknown-HEAR-2nd-issue-/261504667384?pt=UK_Records&hash=item3ce2e48ef8
  20. I've had a few off Dave too and agree with everything you've said. Top fella, excellent service.
  21. Why not wait until the final product is released before beginning to verbally assault those involved, and the final decimation of a scene that many of us hold so close to our hearts? My life revolves around black music from a bygone era and I personally can't wait to see if Elaine and her crew have done justice to what so many of us profess yo be the reason we wake up each day. If she has. Fair play to her, and if not it ain't the end of the world. Ease up people please and let the outcome unravel naturally, you're likely to enjoy it much much more. Best Gav
  22. Sorry Darren ive had a dig around and can't find it. If I do stumble upon it I'll give you a shout. Best Gav
  23. I think i have a copy somewhere that I can dig out over the weekend that's in decent shape, let me know. best Gav Or one here: https://www.raresoulman.co.uk/d/55987/JOHNSON,_RUBY
