My copy was purchased at the casino £4....(although I didn't buy it ... my mate bought it ,who I got it off later) course it was definitely played at WC.... both sides are fabulous to my ears.... I did put a thread up a few months ago regarding CJ.. someone kindly added the you tube clip I was referring to a group performing 'disco inferno with a Charles Johnson on lead.... to my ears it could be the same guy on the clip.... Anyone else seen the sky arts programme about ' disco' recorded it other week and decided to watch it the other day ... went through the usual disco drivel when a clip come up with Herb Reed (of the Platters) 'disco inferno '.... the group has live backing band etc .... I thought 'hell lead singer is good'... then it came up on the bottom of the screen the lead singer is Charles Johnson.....just wondering if this is THE Charles Johnson of Alston fame... he sounds like he could be to my ears...I hope it is him as I've often wondered what he looked like... wonder if hrs still alive?... the clip is on YouTube too if anybody can post the link up... I don't know how to...apologies in advance if this has been discussed before but I couldn' find owt.... Dave Longbottom

'Love on loan was big tune at Phoenix/Pitches Rotherham around '97... probably 'don't get off on me' was played but 'love on loan' was the one for me...if memory servesme right it' penned by Tommy Tate...didnt know about any vinyl of this back then it was CD track off 'the equal opportunity 'album ...but then again Johnnie Taylor's 'real love was big too and thought to be malaco CD only ..but I picked up the vinyl album of this in white sleeve no cover... great duet with Willie Clayton on the Pat Brown album Dave L

I did this a couple of years ago...i rang PayPal direct (Ireland)within 10 mins they reimbursed money to my account...they suspend the recipient who should have responded to my request to send money back or if he's enough in his account they take it out of his ...paypal was great with my experience of this ... hope this helps Dave L

Totally agree kev...i was pissed off at the thought of Cowell and his cronies judging 'our ' Masqueraders but then it came to me it's a sort of envy/jealous thing that you get when you see the look on someone's face when hearing what you heard that first time...i hope they get all the riches and hope someone drops the grapevine CD in the judges laps...Lee Jones...truck driving...Bill Brandon was too...   21. Any record shops anyone can recommend. .my brother going out soon he's staying with relatives and friends San Jose and Bay Area. so getting about isn't a problem and a bit of distance isn't. .not too bothered looking for out and out Northern more the deeper stuff really... Thanks Dave L
