Maxine Powell (Promotional photo) just thought this may of been some Interest to folks dont know if this as been done already DETROIT (AP) — Maxine Powell, who was responsible for developing the charm, grace and style of Motown Records’ artists during the Detroit label’s 1960s heyday, died Monday at age 98. Motown Historical Museum CEO Allen Rawls said Powell died of natural causes at a hospital in Southfield, Mitch. She didn't sing or write songs, but those associated with Motown say Powell was as essential to the label’s operations as any performer or producer. She directed the label’s Artists Development Department, also known as “Motown’s Finishing School.” Through it, she emphasized to many artists — including Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, the Jackson Five and the Supremes — how they should carry themselves, treat people and dress. Motown founder Berry Gordy said the training school was the only one of its kind offered at any record label. Powell’s passing comes less than two months after she was honoured at the museum by Robinson and others.

Just got back from a weekend in skeggy cold windy but was the for the Ben E King And Jimmy James what a night jimmy was awesome what a show man he really worked his audience really enjoyed it nice to see some old friends as well Benny was good but not as good as i expected my fault really i was expecting him to be in is 40 still lol we forget that as we get older so do they but what a night really enjoyed it could have stayed all night well done to um both

me and a mate run a couple of motown and northern soul nights not your usual big nights free entry but get reasonably busy. i for one do not allow piss heads in and if some one does get worse for wear and gets on the dance floor with a bottle or glass and lets face it there is a few on the soul scean I will and have ask um to leave the dance floor 9 times out of 10 they do no problem. if you ask politely they always do. well they have done for us anyway. but i do agree with putting a no entry time limit on the door would help

i had a similar problem i didn't sell a record but a Dictaphone brand new never used he received it. then started a claim with out contacting me saying it had a scratch on it eBay paid him a full refund for the same reason item not as describe .......£45.00 quid and he wont send it back even though he had be paid in full and evil bay and they wont help sh.t anit it then he left a negative feed back the worst part about it cost me over 100 quid about 8 month before never even had it out of box it was still sealed Evil bay don't care
