  1. I got a copy of the Edwin Star of Roger Banks and he sold it as a German release
  2. Had a copy a few years ago, think I got £20 for it on ebay, its a boot.
  3. Some good ideas, I use a push in centres and cut them into the new position with a knife then mark the pug in with a pen for later plays, works ok but some times it gets moved and if your in a rush to cue the record up it can get very messy.
  4. J Manship was plugging the B-side in an auction a while back. Mr Big Shot that is
  5. There is 2 - I've Got Something Good and Your Money My Love. Reminds me of being in M's there was a small guy from Scotland about 4'5 tall who could spin like shit, he had a very rugged dance style and this would suit him to a T. Sure if Keb or Butch had a copy it would go big.
  6. GSCD138 Here Comes The Night Owl, anyone ever heard this CD, thank the Lord Dean was in control of production on this track.
  7. The year is 2007, Dean has had what 30 or 40 years of experience and has produced a version of a tune for today, what do you expect a retro version? To be honest it doesn't sound like him, it stands its own ground great vrsion to add to the list.
  8. Yeah, he says ten, I had a bid and got a second chance offer for £400 and kept seeing him for 7 month's after. Lucky Bugger.
  9. Cool just got the LP as well, I have got a spare copy of IJCTIAL up for grabs.
  10. Don't think its Keith, it says the name but can't make it out. It brings back memories, heavy beat, fast, a bit Bains and Leach-ish great track all 30 seconds. Not Richard or Pat. But Pat might know.
  11. Great version Alice love the lyrics, is it credited to Mr Berry. T.
  12. yeh! like bears shit in the same place twice. I have just found a brace of Pollard's non matching sets. Shadrach Meshack & Abednego - the wanderers -cub Next time put your specks on but I must thank you cause in my search I found some great mid tempo killers. T.
  13. https://www.auctionstealer.com 3 free snipes if u want and I like blue. I find that I get an issue and never happy until I get the demo, then I find out they are different versions or the issue is so mint I can't sell it, end up keeping both.
  14. Tried this https://popsike.com/ after saying that I can't get it to work.
  15. Is this an Atco West Coast styrene copy looks abit square on the lettering. Never seen one.
  16. Hi there, when it started to show up on ebay (Dkrup I think his name is) my mate put a bid on for £1000.00 and was out bid by 5 people, he then got a second chance offer that was a year ago or so and the guy is still putting them out 1 a week at least.
  17. Stop Press. As it appens I have just been down to my local shop and F++k Me I have found an acetate of an Irish singer and its another version of the L Allen called cant we Walk It Talk it Over. Wow what a dancer, I am loading up a snipet on MP3 now.
  18. With the extended break and a few Hugg's & Harrss or even an Outsiders or Williams and Watson Hughe's or Hey's No sorry
  19. My copy has a bit of noise at the begining and if you down loaded that track from Yann Vatiste Vavavoom web site, its the same recording. So Iam not sure.
  20. Forgot to put 2+2 together this year, while you are having a great time the sales fall on ebay. Tony Middelton Paris Blues Issue M un played store stock £190. Christine Cooper Heartaches Away VG+ £160 some bargains.
  21. I will look out for that.
  22. Paid £80 a 6 years ago.
  23. This is the cover of the LP I have sale this is the only damage slight ring ware and a 4inch seam split at the bottom . Looks like the other picture how strange.
  24. Hi Bobo, just been listening to the Opals radio interview, I had thought when I heard one of their earlier tracks on Okeh that they could have been The Vonnettes. The track on Cobblestone has the same bass line as Sandi Sheldon on Okeh Your Gonna Make Me Love You (Van McCoy) on both tracks but probably not. Great to hear so much back ground info on artists and the recording sessions, invaluable. Thanks. Tony
  25. The Anita Anderson record is Despenza, she just wasn't in the ivories. So the track was recorded with Despenza, Berry played drums? I have I dig you baby by Loraine Ellison like the other version. Seems so strange that there is a limited amount of copies on both labels when there was so much interest. Great interview.
