  1. The Tobi Bull is a different take on the Lyrics and is supposedly licensed from the guy who owns Flodavieur.
  2. Yes but I don't have the book an further more I don't have a copy of the record. I know these two Satisfy Me Baby/ Something About Soultown 105 * 1967 That's the same thing / Talk about a woman - Soultown 201 * 1965 There's That Mountain/ Love Can't be Modernized - Soultown 716
  3. So if the record is a delta stamped disc you can date it from the matrix numbers cool.
  4. I like to collect and if I see a copy of a record I have I tend to get another copy, a weird affliction I know but I do find that they are never the same, Never, they may look alike but they will sound different and then they can also look different, same matrix but different thikness plastic. I bet this could be that at the pressing plant you have different makes of machine so they have different tolerances and if a stamper presses 500 you will need a few stampers to complete an order of say 5000 I wonder when records turn up in say 25 and 50ts and are warp is this because they have always been warped and that they were retuned to the manufacture??
  5. Must say I love a little talc, later in the mornings its a blessing. I all was thought Northern & Talc go hand in 'err' foot and when you get so many beer spills I think it gets cancelled out and seen more accidents from wet dance floors than talc. I have never taken it to a club must must thank the people who do, Tar talcers for that help in to all those corners at the right time.
  6. Killer tune, not many to the £ with this one.
  7. Is the Wendell Watts ''You Girl'' on Ref-o-ree
  8. The Gino is a tuff record to get, I got a Demo copy of ebay about a year ago for £20 but can I get another or even an issue.
  9. Leave well alone don't touch it you are mad if you do. I use those clip in middles they are made of cast zinc and put a little pressure on the disc to remove the warp.
  10. Was that on Toddlin Town by Mousie & The Traps. There is nothing new about any of these records they were all played at The Catacomb's.
  11. Alan H has played this for years and year and years. I prefer The Heat Of The Morning my self or London Boys. He also did a great cover of Pity The Fool (Malone) and I have listened to some Davy Jones stuff that's more Mod.
  12. The Clock Baby Washington. But its a male band if you think its the Shadows.
  13. Mr Cool Charles Spurling but I think Jackie Trent and Tony Hatch could catch up. Will have to see what happens when I go into auto pilot.
  14. I don't know Breaking Point I have this on the Red Vinyl demo, wonder if its the same mix, Do it was totally different mix from the record on one of the last Kent CD's
  15. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PKZCtuFNy4...feature=related The Beat ballad wins every time. Thank gawd Lee Hazlewood never dueted on the track.
  16. Do you have a sound clip Mr spin.
  17. The way records are made from the master to the stamper it would be easy to make a new stamper from a record and then press copies up, there is a copper plating process where they can and have copied the Wimbledon trophy plate.
  18. The Al mcarther is my biggest want at the moment but this will be intresting the DARROW FLETCHER the record is so hissy and in the background you can hear clicks and clacks so I mabe able to make it out once and for all.
  19. There are a lot of rare records out the there and the ones that are being counterfeited are funny ones when there are rarer records that people could make more money from around?
  20. I have a chemical that changes the colour of old vinyl but not new plastic, only a few shades from black to a lighter black. The Royal Esquires has anybody ever tried to track the matrixes down from the originals Mised 1335A HSI 6900/-A 11
  21. Babe Ruth the US Cap Issue is 3.20 and 5.02 what do you get on the demo Mono - Stereo sides?
  22. Funny but it was this track that made me think the lead singer (Carlis "Sonny" Monroe) was from the Falcons.
