The records are rare but the ones that he has posted are even harder to find, some are 2 - 3 copies known others are 5 - 10 thousand.

What o/o of your wage was that, I live in London and property has been expensive for years a 1 bed room flat in 1984 was £40,000 that's inner city.

Hearing them out and getting a copy IMO are to very different things, you get 2 minuets to dance, listen, finish your drink and have a chat but when you get a record you have not had on a tape or CD then its a brand new learning curve, do you like it? getting to know the lyrics, the sound and yes after a while inside out.. My record box is full of Holy Grails I wonder if anybody has had every Northern record ever, JM is my first contender for that prize.

Deadbeats Strata, John & The Weirdest spring to mind but these like Cecil Wash were newies back then suppose if you have just got into the music you see them as oh! yeah there's that oldie again what's new.

Hey Pete60 the guy is asking about funding the phenomenal prices of records as you see there are plenty of cheap offers to be picked up. I think it's a very personal question and not one to warrant an answer, we don't ask you what you spend your money on. What are you saying? What has this got to do with what I said before. Are you suggesting I was knocking the topic of this thread that's my opinion and my business what have you added to it.

Getting back to the bit about its rare expensive and its crap. Well if you have had all the big ticket records you get bored with them so natural progression will lead you on to the rare exotic stuff that you never see in boxes for sale. Huummm nice.

Yes ok its great to spend 200 - 400 but I got a record last might a bit slow for $27.00 and it thrills me to the bones every time I hear it. So its not what you spend but what you have that no one else has.

I have a M+ copy Sassy stock ITWYW and LYPGD up for grabs.

The clip was recorded from the 45, I find the CD's trundle along at a non stop pace where a 45 has its own pace, more bass and movement of the stylus can slow the record down a tad. After saying all that I checked my I tunes of CD and 45 and there is only 1 second difference between them 45 being 3.08 and CD being 3.07

CD and single Chalky a great R&B CD with some unissued stuff on. IMO the best R&B CD ever, the weakest track for me was The Gigi & Charmaines so it shows you the quality of the thing.
