  10. Welcome Limu, Good choice of sounds, no doubt you will find an abundance of tunes to add to what you've already heard on Soul Source. And you will also find out current prices too, what a site H
  11. Seems to me that Ebay aren't aware about the bootlegs cropping up more often, I know it must be hard for them but it looks like there is still a market for them anyway. Don't get me wrong, in the past i have had the chance to buy a £25 boot as opposed to the original at £225 but the cheapies are still floating around and still picking up a decent price! It is a pity some folks don't look for original first as some originals are still priced better than the boots. H
  12. Yes thats it Kolla, I was torn between Eartha Kitt and for some strange reason Barbara Randolph came into my head. Leonard & Phil owned Aristocrat label and changed it to Chess in 1949, now that is a long time ago but it sure gives the label the edge on the RnB circuit( we don't want to go there again eh?) Haydn
  13. She recorded for a very well known label Chess but what was the name of the label before it changed??????
  14. If it is who i am thinking of Kolla, then she doesn't look as good nowadays, give us a little clue please. H
  15. Thank you very much Jimmy, Pity you couldn't record some of it and stick it on the site. Show us oldies that the young ones have the faith. H
  16. The album has a few good sounds on it too though, Leo!!!!
  17. Think you better leave off the sauce Mikey, lol!!!! H
  18. Tony, When you are on the dancefloor moving to those great sounds you will lose yourself anyway, doesn't matter what fatty in the corner is thinking about you, let him sit there, sweat, and sup his pint, lol. H
  19. Stick in Jimmy, There is a whole back catalogue of sounds that you may like/dislike but it beats sitting in front of the telly waiting on the music coming to you. Hope the play turns out well, let us know how you got on, i am sure your dad will be extremely happy to see you take an interest in something that was and still is a big part of his life. KTF, Haydn.
  20. Everytime i am left at the train station waiting to get home, Don Thomas - Come on Train always echoes in my ears, the bass hits me first and then i realise what i am singing to myself. Bet Joe Public don't have a hit like that when the train is late. H.
  21. There you go Jimmy, as Mike said try out Heartofsoul, Julian Dyers site, can take a while if still on cable though but worth it to see Keb on form!!!!!! Mind your hamstring :-))) H.
