  1. I knew somebody would say the Mojo King
  2. Doin well Jock, hitting the high seas for festive season and was just podcasting for the haul. Shall be recording tonights R2 to analyze offshore lol Its true to say that anybody dipping their bunions into the scene whether they had history or not, will be questioned on either this or another forum. Does anybody on the forum know of any other celeb that could or would help publicise a scene from 40 year ago? I am racking my brains and from a promotion side of things, I cant come up with much, and whoever it is/was, would never be good enough for a lot of people on here. We could have no history at all documented, and just listen to the stories from Grandad when he were a lad. How blurred would the scene be then? The music is never gonna disappear, but will regroup into different forms and genres, everybody deserves a slice of it. Good or bad, true or false all lead to healthy debates an ah fahkin love gossip! I might agree/disagree with somethings that Pete says on radio tonight but you have to remember his lifeline didnt follow the same path as many . Lets have a listen and at least hear what else he has to say. He may be put to rights by his guests ;)
  3. The edges are getting blurred already, Elaine looks like she is doing a fine job portraying the scene as it was, in film, better than other big screen ventures. Pete is there as celebrity(?) platform, probably without which, films like this would never be publicised because it is still a small section of the music scene through the years. If you are in the know, it wont matter. Try looking at it as if you didnt know about the scene and the perspective is totally different. H
  4. Easy Lionel, the "Save PW" brigade will have you!
  5. Agree, sadly even the big players on the scene aren't celebreties or public figures to general public. It might as well have been Christopher Biggins with Elaine lol
  6. and leave yer false teeth at the door ;)
  7. I will be watching and listening, I suppose it's up to the individual and how they feel about things portrayed. I will say one thing, I have a lot of time for anybody on the scene, sometimes during discussions we may make mistakes, we misinterpret happenings, dates, recording artists etc. We ain't all perfect! But........ If you meet me on a night out and talk p*sh about something of which you only dipped your toes in, you'll be found out. Have met some bullsh*tters in my time, you can smell them a mile, usually the ones that got thousands of records that are worth a fortune in the loft but never mingled or dj'ed. ps not implying that PW is bullsh*tting about his past, lets face it........recent cock ups from interviews tell their own tale, but surely he had his limelight on the scene. Why chose now to open the door again? He had ample opportunity in the lean years or even with Stuart Macaroni Just a view, please don't ban me if i disagree :
  8. I saw that it was a legit reissue Paul and can understand on the back of the "Soulboy" film that it will be of interest to some people. I think most of us fall into the dubious category, but also realise that if someone reserves the right to release, then they can, whether there is a market or need. After release though, I have just seen legit copies being sold side by side with unlicenced items, which blurs it all. You have probably answered my thoughts in your last sentence though Regards, Haydn

  16. oooh! Is this a resurrection? Are we gonna hear how the bootleg of Frank Wilson on IN was the only issue available in order to release the British copy? Which would make the British copy a non-entity? Please continue
