Punter; Can you play some proppa northern soul??
And what would you class as proper northern I asked, as a full dancefloor was shuffling to Millionaires-I thought about you.
Punter; Frankie Valli The Night or something.
Me; F#ck off and phone a taxi ye muppet
Some UK presses are great quality but i've had US Brunswick copies that visually look knackered but still play excellent. I don't know what they mixed the vinyl with, but i been gobsmacked on playin them.
I nearly binned them.
Some of the bootlegs were scribed MZL to pass it off as original.
I just sent mine to John, that way he could see it for himself. The scans alter the colour so it can be hard to judge.

Cheers fella,
I am flying out on 10th with the Mrs and youngest daughter to relatives in Lawrence Heights for 2 weeks.
We shall be doing the usual sightseeing, so I will be around Niagara area at some point, before I hunt some vinyl.
The mrs likes her junk shops so no doubt she won't want to miss out on any of those type of places as I hunt.
I will be in contact through here incase we do get a chance to meet up bud, do you have a list of your sales? I also got sales/trades if interested.

I've got a trip to Toronto coming up and know that Soul Clan ex-pats in Toronto is now defunct, but is there anybody keeping it lit over there in Canada?
Any soul nights? Record shops?........... don't think the Mod Club in Toronto is necessarily a "mod" club.
Any info would be good lads, I got two weeks to spend there and after I jump over Niagara Falls, I'll be pretty much bored.
Would take a record box if I thought I could get a spin

If i can see the groove kinked by looking under a magnifying glass....then I use the cocktail stick or needle method.
In the past I have used a blunt graphite pencil over the defected area, rubbing it lightly back and forward.
Also a deep clean with Copydex wood glue on the area helped, smooth it into groove, let it dry to flexible but not tacky, then peel off.
Good luck ;)
