  1. Whilest we are on the subject of things that make you go "Huh", what's the oppion on this one https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NORTHERN-SOUL-LINDA-...1QQcmdZViewItem
  2. and it has another version of LBTP that's not very good IMHO called Lbs + 100s. Released by Ace in 1991 According to the sleeve notes Solomon Burke had cut an unreleased version of LBTP
  3. This one's a good un Creme De La Creme -- Philly Soul Classics & Rarities -- From The Vaults Of Atlantic, Atco, & Warner Bros. Records 1972-1976 Here's a description from Dusty Groove One of the best compilations of 70s soul you'll ever buy -- a treasure trove of tracks from mid 70s Atlantic and Warner Brothers Records -- all recorded in the mighty soul capitol of Philly! The set does a great job of combining hit singles with a load of lesser-known Philly gems -- tunes recorded as singles or obscure album tracks by artists who were working in the same Sigma scene as the bigger acts on Atlantic, but who never managed to crack the charts as much. The whole thing's great -- a smooth-grooving midtempo batch of tracks that never fails to please -- and honestly, if we had to dig through thousands of old records to produce such a set, we're not sure we could do a better job! Titles include "One More Time" by Dianne Steinberg, "Let's Get Together Now" by The Aristocrats, "Love Won't Let Me Wait" and "Loving You Is Mellow" by Major Harris, "Kiss My Love Goodbye" by Bettye Swann, "Welcome To The Club" by Blue Magic, "That's Where I'm Coming From" by True Reflection, "Save Your Love For Me" by Vivian Reed, "You Call Me Back" by Clyde Brown, ""I Got A Feeling" by First Choice, "Gonna Make You Mine" by Anglo Saxon Brown, "Got To Get You Together Now" by Sons Of Robin Stone, "Can We Come Together" by The Trammps, and "Once You Hit The Road" by Dionne Warwick.
  4. That's also on the LP
  5. Not sure if it's the same on the 12" but personally prefer the album version, the intro of the LP version sounds smoother to me as on the 7" it has extra sax on it. if i get a chance over the weekend I'll upload the lp version for you
  6. Yes, I have it on UK RCA. No idea of value sorry
  7. Blimey, yes it didn't enter the UK chart top 75 untill 1999. never knew that before I haven't got the Jean Carn LP but will look for one then, have got Was That All It Was and If You Wanna Go Back on single though
  8. This is a great tune by King Ernest /index.p...si&img=8649
  9. Arnie Simons last label picture is an original and he's showing you where to look for the ZTSC stamp. However boot legs have been made with this label design that are both yellow as well as red. Look in the run out groove as Simon has highlighted if it has ZTSC stamped on there it's an original but if it has 99528 scratched on it's a boot.
  10. Also theres a boot of the last label design but in yellow not red but this has the delta number 99528 I mentioned above
  11. Hers's the flip of the Soul Brother Six one https://www.raresoulman.co.uk/sounds/exists..._WE_AIN_T_DOIN_ Bit funky for me
  12. vinyl copies are meant to be boots. Styrene boots have delta number 99528
  13. Has definetly been booted
  14. How about this one https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...type=osi_widget
  15. think this could really end up a top tip for 2007 ripe and ready to get played, fantastic vocalist, great backing, lovely strings, UK only, didn't chart, issues harder than demos, LP that it came from didn't do very well considering who the artist is and its a top Philly dancer. I think all the ingredients are there /index.php?showtopic=40686
  16. Looks like the album this is from didn't sell that over well either, apparently didn't get in the top 75 in the UK and sat outside the top 40 in the US and only for a very short period of time. Maybe 1979 was a bit of a blip year for Lou
  17. John, in my book possibly the best £4 they've ever spent for a great vocal, regardless of if its rare or not
  18. Tell you what Mel the louder I played it the more I was getting hooked . And yes it's very feel good and uplifting. I was having a search around as I very much like the Philly sound and came accross a soundbyte and thought that sounds great, so ordered a copy straight away.
  19. Don't see why not, it's a nice tune and must have sold less than See You When I Git There as I think this one is UK only from the looks of things So many must have overlooked this single as it's on that greatest hits What do others think???
  20. Time Will Take Care Of Everything - lou rawls - philly international 13381 refosoul Refosoul Rare and Northern Soul Clip library Thats better you can hear it properly now Thanks Paul, but still can't make out how if it wasn't released stateside and was a non-hit in the UK how on earth does it end up on a greatest hits??
  21. There must be either a Philly Intl or Lou Rawls expert out there somewhere
  22. "It's life Jim but not as we know it" Mr Spock, Starship Enterprise circa 1966
  23. If you like Raindrops Love And Sunshine try this one Can't Stop Loving You https://www.tonyt.zen.co.uk/music/robjohn.MP3
