  3. Fool, buy it and sell it on ebay to make a big profit
  4. yep it's defo back Cue everyone all logging into ebay all at one go
  5. Bearsy, post up your 70's tunes in your collection so people can point out the disco tunes contained there in Serious and not doing it to try to cause ill feeling or anything, I'm just sure you'll be surprised how many you will be told are disco In fact if anyone wants to please feel free to join in I can certainly post up all mine so people can take the piss or not
  6. they certainly haven't removed search for bidder
  7. Some certainly would if it would save them a couple of hundred quid or get their long term want
  8. Because some people track what you are bidding on and sometimes snipe you if they are after it as well. For instance you may have spotted something they haven't because it was mispelt or listed for the flip
  9. The Sno-Ball track knocks around for about £5.00 Came out on Chrysalis label in the UK I think and features Bobby Caldwell
  10. Pete, by no means trying to change history but as you well know there is a mainstream element and an underground element. The two are worlds apart, but some are seeming to have a problem seeing that you need to scratch the surface to get rid of the crud and bring out the good stuff. Same can be said of most genres - are only the Ska/Reggae tunes that charted the only ones that excist and were they the truly the best that were released and wasn't there any cash in Ska and Reggae sound alikes that were truly bad? Did mods only listen to The Who and Small Faces? Skinheads in the 70/80's listen only to Oi? Could Disco Duck really be disco??
  11. Hmmm, something makes me think Rivalino2 may be just about to change his/her user name as they've been rumbled Why on earth didn't they use a snipe service that keeps your id secret until the last few seconds?
  12. This bloke doing Of Hope Dreams and Tombstones
  13. Also on a really knowledgable soul forum surely the majority of the posters are a bit more clued up than to say Boney M and The Bee Gees are what disco is all about
  14. Joe Pasquale doing Love Starved Heart
  15. Or how about Michael Barrymore doing Come On And Stop. That'd get me moving
  16. I always fancied hearing Dick Van Dyke singing Long After Tonight Is All Over
  17. Believe me this is not disco Would you consider Wigans Ovation and Nosmo King as the epitome of northern soul
  18. My logic is if you don't like some tracks it don't make the whole of the genre rubbish As you've only heard two of them I'll wait for Jocko to load them on then you can tell me they're rubbish
  19. So is Northern rubbish??
  20. There are certain Northern tracks I don't like, does this mean all Northern is rubbish
  21. Indeed they are Jocko and all on a very disco label, Salsoul
  22. Dreaming by Loleatta Holloway, great modern soul track or disco rubbish?? Janice by Skip Mahoaney, great modern soul track or disco rubbish?? Time Will Tell by Eddie Holman, great modern soul track or disco rubbish?? So Much For Love by Moment Of Truth, great modern soul track or disco rubbish??
  23. Yes No of course not, but Boney M surely not IMHO Tavares is good disco and most people wouldn't take the piss if out of Saturday Night Fever soundtrack at all if it wasn't for the association with The Bee Gees who put out bad disco soundalikeys as previously mentioned
