Yet another Fantastic piece of Northern Soul that sadly doesn't get anywhere near the plays it deserves because the Jukeboxes see fit to play the same tired old crap instead.

Would think all the big All-Nigter type events are going to start to see a drop off in attendance simply because of the change in demographic of those now on the scene. The Vast majority of today's events are made up by 'Local Soul' type nights playing the same old oldies and 'Safe' Modern tracks to punters who have little or no interest in the Music, and just turn up turn for a social night and a Piss up with their mates. By Midnight most have had their fill of Stella and Dad Dancing and are staggering for the Doors.

I'm Gutted Ste.... All that money I spent at those dance workshops on lessons and you haven't included me on your list.

Something a little less organic.... Just finishing this years winter project. My little Kawasaki KH400 which left the factory in October 1976 and pretty much sat around for the next 41 years doing nothing 'till I got her last summer with a genuine 3K miles on the clock. Needed a good strip, detailing and recommission as well as few bits re-chroming after the damp had got to them, otherwise she's good to go....

Could listen AND dance to this over and over.....

Monthly oldies all nighters aside I only recall Mood Mosaic from M's, John Leach and Gwen Owens I would have had down as mainly Big room plays, but as you say may have crept into M's towards the very end.

I actually love all three. Rodders version of the Temps 'I'm Losing You' in particular is fantastic.

I'll let you decide which is which.

Used to have a vinyl collection, but was never a 'collector'. I just bought the records I liked (a strange concept I know). TBH I'd much sooner listen and dance to an unknown DJ play a lesser known set on MP3 that a top DJ play yet another set of tired oldies on OVO.

Agreed Ste. To many their local Soul Nite is little more than an over 50's Disco. They wouldn't question the DJ at their mates Wedding Disco about the music format, so why would they question it at a Soul Night when to them, the two are pretty much the same?.
