  1. Nope!...... the Bloody 'Reptile' is the worst.. In a recent interview for a soul magazine even the "Silly Woman" admited she should had stood on the sodding thing instead of taking it home!..
  2. No points for me again then as I liked the ZZ & co track!......... although I will agree on Mr Levines finest, never realy did it for me 'then', let alone now!..
  3. Wished you had posted that sooner Pete.... I would have asked for my money back at Nantwich Civic last Saturday!!......

  8. A little off Topic, but how is BTH these days?...... used to go several years ago but it clashes with a local nite a mate does these days, plus I had a bit of 'fall out' with one of the Jocks up there so never went again!... Shame realy 'cos it was quite a good nite..
  9. Is it 'Pay on the door', or will I need a ticket?...

  11. Thanks for that Neil Stumbled across the Youtube clip and remembered Mike so though I would ask if he is still around......got to know him quite well around 77/78-ish at Wigan. We used to have competitions to see who could get the lowest on the splits........he always won though! I must know you then if you were with the same crowd ?.........
  12. Fantastic Playlist that should go down well at most Niters....... well it would with me anyway!.. Was the above taken from Dave Shaws book 'Casino'?.....
  13. Thanks Mark... Could be the same but the Mike I knew was a regular in the late 70's........ always wore a jumper not matter how hot it was in Wigan for some bizarre reason!..
  14. On here?....... anyone know him?.. On this youtube clip from Wigan circa 78!. https://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=aVoYwOdkrW4&...feature=related
  15. Sorry Pete..... I should have checked first !.. I like it TBH, great voice and a 70's Club Soul stylie backing track... Looks like no points for me then!..
  16. https://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=KE2orthS3TQ
  17. Interesting.... Given that around 1/2 to 2/3rds of the scene is made up of the average 'local' type soul nite playing Top 500 type stuff I wonder if this pecentage will be reflected in the replies?.... ie most jocks saying "I play mostly safe stuff"...
  18. Spot on!... My other 'hobby' is MG's (Cars), a mint concourse 60's example of a roadster may be worth anything up to £10K ie 10 times is original value..... trouble is it cost £15K to restore it to concourse!.. This 'crash' should it come about all happened before in the early 90's when people bought 'collectables' as an investment during the Yuppie exesses of the 80's and thus when it all went tits-up they got there fingers (and wallets) burnt.. Buy it cos' you like it, not to make money!..
  19. Sweetest Sister!, once again you have me at a disadvantage with your Beauty, Charm, Wit and Intelligence.......on both sides of the decks.. Also, how long do I have to wear the suspenders before you tell me about the idiot?...
  20. Where is this venue thats a week on friday??........ play that little lot and I'm there!..
  21. Oh Dear!!.. Don't go having a sense of humour by-pass on me here and try re-reading my post........ in Full, before using that rather silly smilie!..
  22. ?????????????????
  23. Dawny... You girlies just don't understand do you?......Lets be honest here it hardly take a genius to play records that everyone wants to hear and keep a dance floor full all night now does it??. On the other hand it takes years and years of practice to select certain tracks that will clear a full floor quicker than a Vileda Supermop!, have you even the faintest idea how hard it is to tell the paying punters ALL the information on the records label AND at the same time cue the next record?, have you even considered how hard it is to memorise the term.."And here is another one from the Windy City!" These are the reasons why DJ-ing is a complicated and skillfull artform which is best left to those who are most suitably equiped for the job, ie those who own a Penis!.. Your job is to just sit in the corner and look pretty with the odd trip to powder your nose along with your mates.... I hope this helps clear the matter up for you!..
  24. I would be very careful if I were you Mark posting stuff like that!........ it makes complete sense!!..
