There were less people on the scene in the 70's, but they were 'more' into the music. Unlike today where there are more people on the scene, but they are less into the music.

Interesting that I first remember hearing Nolan Porter back then and thinking 'Wow - what a track' , yet now I think 'Oh no - not again!'. Not the tracks fault of course.

Is it called Irony?..... In recent years many people have been convinced to join the scene by dumbing the music down . Said people then try to convince even more people to join by dumbing it down still further, to the point much of it's become the very thing many of us joined the scene to get away from in the first place.
