  1. Hi Red Coupe Living a Lie great £20 £300 record in for a $ penny in for a £ pound Keith Tell the Mrs that you have invested in buying it for her and it the actual price £250 Hey you get a bit of ear acre for a month year or two. It's not every week now? or is it? and you have £200 to purchase those wants on your wish list or treat the good lady to another want on your wish list, both ways your on to a winner . This advice comes with a health warning depends how good you look waring in broken records and plan an escape route out of the house and bag packed Andy

  3. Good look to the girl at thirteen, take away the backing track and the vocals are not that good but she's very mature and blossom in future years if she doesn't get dragged down to her mentors level . I will just get out of my Simon's, they are killing me around the crutch area and waist around the neck, but look fetching with a beer towel on the waist Andy

  11. Phil Thank you for that, I will try and hunt a copy of the Whopper Bopper Show Stopper LP down to see what else it has on it and mist, and not heard. It just seems strange it's side 2 but an albums title track and not with the Allstars. Another question is Autry De Walt (Jr Walker) the same person as Autry De Walt, Sr who produced & arranged the above record or his step father who brought him up or another family member? Cheers

  15. The main man in York for all your tailoring needs is a chap called Mr Seymore used to be in Church Street now in Bootham still used by the better dressed person on the scene. Trevski say no more. I couldn't afford this style of dress had make do with half mast Sta-pres, 501's, didn't do Skinner or Brutus. Ben Sherman fitted shirts Red socks & crew neck sweater to match with brown loafers later club soled black brogues. They lasted about 10 years Does anybody remember clown bags similar check to Prince of Wales check but boulder? those 2 coloured cardigans with 2 stripes on there arms Harrington jacket, with the lining tailored to fit your tool of choice or suit jacket with a ticket pocket and half a dozen buttons on the cuffs The lads who I knocked about with were a cross between skins and boot boys were a bit older than me and were required to wear the Dr Martin boots in Gold, Silver Cherry red and black depending what position you were at in the pecking order. I started going to nighters and they used to take the piss as did most not on scene. I had my head shaved at York's nonsense barber called Derrick down an ally way and I had shaved in partings giving me the nick name "Football head" by some. First in York to have this style, A couple of years before it caught on with the Punks. I did eventually get some tailor made Prince of Wales Check parallels and a Suit and the last thing I had made by Mr Seymore was my wedding suit. I hated the brutus Pattern shirt the ones with the likes of Laurel and Hardys with rounded collars. Hated cheese cloth shirts, flares, Major Domo boots
  16. Unity Hall Great place, I remeber the dance floor first time I went, I went over on my arse, people say I havn't got any better at this dancing business . I did find the floor slippy till I got used to it, Yorkshire used to have a good collection or local venues Leeds, Sheffied, Wakefield and York on a Thursday night, places where I used to go when on leave
