Charity Soul @ Huntington Brian Richmond Memorial
Illya commented on The Happy Hooker's event in Soul Nights
Hi I am a very lucky DJ, being selected to DJ at Bri Richmond's Memorial at Huntington WMC. I was lucky enough to know Bri Richmond be at the Youth Club or buying records at the Record shop, SOUND EFFECT. He was respect by most in York, We used to go to Soul events all over the North Of England, the usual places Wigan, Sheffield, Leeds and many more. Dressed in our tailor made suit by Seymour's of Church Street YORK, Long leather or sheepskin coats. To say it was an underground movement you could spot another person with the same musical interest a mile away Bri had his Philip Cassette tape recorder blasting out the popular Soul sounds in the train carriage on our way to a venue. Anyway you get the picture because we all did it. Bri's life was cut short by a very cruel disease, Cancer which he fought to the end and raising awareness of it threw soul nights the music which we all love. So come along and support CHARITY SOUL in Association with Huntington WMC. BRI RICHMOND'S MEMORIAL Raise money, play the charity raffle and have a nostalgic night with Yorkshires finest SOUL MUSIC and DJ's -
