  5. YES!! And I remember Annie Nightingale's seriously embarrassing interview with Paul Simon. Could anyone really take her seriously after that? Seems the best the BBC can do is dig up a couple of ill informed idiots like these two to present our music. Having said that, contrast Ady Croasdell who contributed. All of us must acknowledge his massive input to our scene.
  6. No playlist though..................
  7. Enchanted, sounds like you've confused everyone. They don't understand what you're on

  12. £40 offered in ex or m
  13. Don Charles' version is imo way better than Long John's; closer to the perfection of Ray's and maybe a better dancer. Joe Meek is reputed to have claimed that Don was the best vocalist he ever produced.
  14. Looks like this is just around the corner from the old Ralphs record shop-----where a certain Mr Shard spent his formative years------when he should have been in school---tut tut. To the extent that the school accepted his sick notes signed by the guy behind the counter, believing it to be his mam's signature!! Lucky for him he had a reliable fellow pupil to copy from---------------otherwise, instead of A levels Rod's only qualifications might have been a handful of TMG demos. (was looking for the scratching head icon;would have fitted in perfectly here 'cos thinking about it, maybe the demos would have served him better!)
  15. I'll be coming along to practice my new shoplifting techniques
  16. It is a masterpiece of a record
  17. What about George Clinton's Heart Trouble, thinking he had a leak from the sink, calling the plumber to be told it was tears from his eyes!! Something like that, I recall. Nuts but brill.
  18. Pete, Barbara Stott and Barbara Sweeney were not one and the same. B Stott was Kev's wife but left him for Nobby Stevens. Barbara Sweeney was from Northwich and married Rich Douglas, also, like Nobby, from Derby. Nobby and Barbara are still together but Rich and the other Barbara split years ago.

  22. I think some "emending" is required here. Did you learn nothing from sitting next to me in English?
