  1. Banned, sine die, probably.
  2. It all has a feel of Webbydublin about it.
  3. Probably been said before but Messrs Banks, Howard and Wilkins were cruelly taken way too early, all three died from heart attacks. If I had to choose one track above all others it would be "And I panicked" Somebody should put that up just to remind us just how gifted they all were.
  4. And of course the blindingly obvious "In the rain" - as good as it gets. Love all the Dramatics stuff, hardly ever made a duff track. Check out the Michael Henderson written "Just shopping" - sublime.
  5. Saw Jr Walker there one night. Awesome.
  6. That Pete Cooke thing on blue vinyl is from 63/4.
  7. They have to be played, not sure there is any point in owning them otherwise.
  8. Jock,on the basis that none of my clients are likely to be members on here or remotely interested in pieces of vinyl, I can say, without fear of reprisals, that none of the miserable f**kers that I deal with are ever likely to have been as generous as it would appear RS has been. And he's a near neighbour too!
  9. And not to pile on the embarassment, the lyrics also refer to "Bobby"
  10. The one on JM's site appears to be the one Dickie posted. So if Richard still has it, is he the one selling it now, or have I lost something in the mix?
  11. Professionals.
  12. I must have gone to that because I can remember Dave Evison jocking there. Surprised that there is not much of a take up for the Chambers Facebook page. That reunion was massive.
  13. Amongst everything else that's going on, including one of the great intros of all time, I've always loved the manic drum work on the Montclairs - 'Hung up on your love'. Maybe not classic, but he doesn't half put a shift in.
  14. Might take some winkling. You up for it T?
  15. Is there more than one known copy of Jim Gilstrap?
  16. Not 4 decades for that.
  17. Absolutely wonderful music indeed,Sean. A credit to those involved which leads me to ask....... Where is Tony Rounce these days? His absence on here is noteable.
  18. And one of the very best, Steve. Smoke, Jack Ashford, Futures, Voices of East Harlem, Younghearts - just wonderful. Bring on part 2. Mike.
  19. Cant think what the third is but the 4th is Don Gardner - "Cheatin' kind" on Sedgrick
  20. Second one up is Aspirations - "You left me" on Peaches,
  21. Just listening now. First up is Timmie Williams - "Competition" on Mala.
  22. Steve, Had a listen this morning, our IT guys have lifted the blocking of this kind of streaming etc which is good news for me. Excellent so far. Some funky harder edged stuff to start with, most of which I didnt know, and then into a beautiful little sequence of Reason Why, Ballads, Lee Fields. The Ballads track is just awesome and one that I've got somewhere. Need to dig it out. Look forward to hearing the rest of the stuff later. Mike.
  23. Then you've got an advantage over me Kev, cos I still haven't frigging well heard it! Must find the time and soon. Mike.
  24. Come on guys! Must be some info as to where and when this was brought to the masses, surely.
  25. Who, when, where for this sublime piece of music. Dave Thorley? Stafford? Ta much
