  4. Be carefull as there are two or three mixes. The track you want is on the double pack. The other release is the "put your hands up" mix. Real easy to get the wrong one, which I did Dooooohhhhh, before I got the right one. Been playing this for a year now and it's still doing the business. Will be played at J20 Sat night 11th October in Lutterworth for sure. Hope this helps. Pat

  13. Well I can't disagree with you Mr Northern Nev on the old boot v OVO, but if someone is paying £50 plus for something and can get it half that price and they want it, then that is a bargain and my policy as mentioned in that OVO thread is OVO. As for LP only tracks, bring em on . Bye the way Can't thank you enough Nev for the Ripple Blast Singers LP.
  14. Yep i'ts a boot, but what amazes me is that people don't shop around after all We are in a credit crunch. kjw has one one here at £25. Kev's gradings are always spot on so it would seem someone will get a bargain. Pat

  20. That's the definitive answer Chalky.
  21. Every one has an opinion on this subject and I respect that. My view is that there are enough records out there that should be played and younger or less well known DJs should track them down. There are to many venues and this is partly fuelled by DJs who only play boots. If we had OVO policies then people would travel and attendances would even out to fill up venues. I went to a very well attended event in my part of the world a few months back where they play 90% boots. The sound system was fantastic but the sound quality of the records was terrible. One record would blast out then the next would only come out of one speaker (and it was'nt in mono). Early spots need to set the scene for what's to come. As people walk through the door they are often eager to hear what's being played and this will have an effect on the return rate. Pat
  22. My run out details are the same. Orange label. Bought mine three years ago from a dealer. I am sure I read a thread on here about some American dealer knocking out reissues about the time I bought mine. Dont like the thought but would like to know if mine is legit. Pat
  23. Great record. Got one off Pete French a couple of years back on Cotilliion.I sold it a few months back and had a couple of top name DJs after it. I dont know where it was first played but it's worth a revival me thinks. Tried very hard to get one on Gatur but it's elusive. Found another on Cotillion recently so I will keep this one. Pat
