Saw him last night in leeds with Cliff, Andy, Mick H amongst others and he was excellent. Screaming soulful vocals, a tight band and the warm up band (Dirty Velvet) did a sublime version of "home is where the hatred is". Very impressed..
I think the first onE Gilly had was the more raw take which may have came off a track tape. He kindly gave me a cut which i still have somewhere. Not sure this came out on the album either, will have to try and find it.
