Oh!! dear that bloody Max has done it again....last month it was me n Chris Plant doing spots, with less than a dozen records to our name...and now he's gone and asked damn women to provide the entertainment, without the aid of a 'pole' and in full dress...what i want to know is who will be at home cleaning thr scullery???? In the end if ya don't wanna hear it go somewhere else, "you pays your money you mek's ya choice"....i think i'm correct when i say all the girls support the event month in month out, and whatsmore have over 2ooo years in total of being on the scene, or was it 200???? It's a bit of fun....thats all....its about giving the punters a bit of ownership, it ain't done to piss off the record buying big spending collectors who play records on the scene these days(i deliberatley avoided using the term d.j.'s) After all i was once a dj and did on at least two occasions pay over 14 groats for a record that was the times we robbed the meters of the rich from Tettenhall. Good luck to Max, all those girlie types and all those who attend with the intention of gooin' out to have a laugh and a bit of fun, i'll be there or SANDY WILL LAMP ME !!! and i know that cause she just whispered it in my ear as she sits behind me dagger at me throat!!!! May be able to help you there, over the past year or so i have been compiling a data base of photographs of West Midlads soulies over the past 30+ years, many people have allowed me access to their pics and i have at present around 400, from early 70.s to the present. The majority can be found on this sight in the "members gallery" section, posted by myself. there are pics from all nighters and local do's, not sure about all you mentioned, but they cover all the Wolves, Kiddi, Dudley Wallsall Worcs. Redditch Cov. n Brum regulars from that period. If you want i can send a disc of all the photos if you tell me where to mail it to, as it is forever growing week on week. As a footnote i would appreciate any pics of in particular Phil Shelton Smokey Pete Smith Paul Clifford Billy Waggs Black and White H Donald both Swoz's Snake Arms Beanhead Daz from Walsall and any other of my old aquaintances, in order to provide as full a record as poss. Great memories of this event Drinks in the 'Rigger' pub over the road two room set up colin and co. in (was it downstairs) sam in his stomper phase etc.... upstairs One christmas 50 of us went on a coach from St. Giles's in Willenhall a great day out An amazing slanging, throwing match between Helen n Pep on that same christmas night Went again when Kingy n t. samson did em in 78'ish And Dave Thorley did 2 i think around '83-'84(one having the amazing incident of Brad in the borrowed car) Yeah gotta say i have good memories of those dayers Harpo.
