lm not ramming anything down anyones throat, as l said in my most humble opinion musical taste is personal to every individual so therefore it should remain an opinion to oneself,so righty or wrongly this should never of been a topic for debate, by all means groan on about ones partners not sharing same tastes, in that way lm very lucky to ave a partner who shares my taste on the whole, eg dust my broom he thinks its a classic, l dont, there are records l love eg Baby Washington rather than Timmi Yuro`s version of it'll never be over for me, but it does`nt stop us liking em or playing them in each others company because we have the utmost respect for eachothers musical taste.................. and with that l rest my case and it aint worth the arguement, lve got better things to do than debate about soul music ld rather busy myself listening and learning about the music but most of all dancing to it every weekend as long as the scene lasts.
l felt l needed to put what l did initially because it touched a raw nerve, lm constantly defending my taste in soul music and just because l happen to dj mainly in modern rooms doesnt mean l play "disco music" in my opinion l play soulful records, not northern soul but soul be it 1950`s oldies or the latest 5mins release soulful house and garage.
End of discussion as far as lm concerned,
and as lve already stated it was never my intention to make it personal, just voicing an opinion, if im wrong for doing that........then shoot me.
