Soul Legacy Presents another classic Soulful Charity Fundraiser, on behalf of the British Heart Foundation and sponsored by Sherwood Forest Soul Club. Special guests for the evening will be The Disco Divas and Ross Feeney, playing alongside the regular line up Baz, Jona & the 2J’s (Jon & John). Doors open at 7.15 and early bird tickets are £3.50 each, or pay £5.00 on the evening. So join us, have a whale of a time and let’s raise some much needed funds, for a very worthy cause.

We have top quality guests every Month and to compliment them we also have three great resident DJs: Baz, John & Jona who will endeavour to keep the dance floor busy and thoroughly entertain you all evening long. this Month our friend from Bassetlaw Soul Club & The Regency Ballroom Soul Club: David Hawksworth (Hawkeye) will be our Special Guest DJ. Hawkeye never fails to deliver the goods to the dance floor, with his expertise in knowing what the crowd is looking for. Top fella, top DJ and should be a top night had by all.

Happy New Year folks, we hope you’ve all had a terrific Festive holiday and are wanting your soul fix, to loosen up some of that Xmas pudding. Welcome to Sherwood Forest Soul Club @ Bilsthorpe Welfare, moving into our seventh year now and still going strong. We play an abundance of Classic Northern Soul, with a sprinkling of underplayed Motown too and try to offer you an enjoyable night, every time, with the friendliest of welcomes & one of the best “maple-sprung” dance floors around. We regularly have top quality guests and to compliment them, the resident team of DJs, Baz, John & Jona, will endeavour to keep the dance floor busy and thoroughly entertain you all evening long. This Month we see one of Newarks best known disc jockeys “Dougie Hall”, Dougie has played at some of the Country’s best venues over the years and still continues his long and well established DJ career, mainly at the ever popular Grovesnor Rooms. Let’s hope for something special from Dougie, as this is his first visit to us as a guest DJ. As always the doors open at 7.15, and if you want your favourite table, you need to get there early. Also if you missed out on the Sixth Anniversary, but would still like to purchase a commemorative patch (as above), we have the last few for sale on the door at £2.50 each and the proceeds will be going to our chosen charity “The British Heart Foundation”

On Saturday 2nd December 2023, from 7.15 til Midnight. Tickets cost £3.50 each (see flyer for details), or you can pay £5 on the evening. We will be playing for you an assortment of all the Motown favourites and Club & Disco Classics, from the 60’s- right through to more recent times.

Friday 6th October will be the last Soul & Motown night at the “1861 Suite” run by the lovely Mick & Michelle Edge, as they’re moving to Spain shortly afterwards. Coincidentally it’s also the tenth Anniversary celebration too. Two rooms of Soul to look forward to, Northern Soul in the Kevin Bird suite and Classic Soul & Motown in the 1861 suite. There are DJs in abundance and the best Quality Soul Music around, so come on down, have a super night and raise some much needed money for a very worthy cause.

Soul Legacy presents our Tamla Motown & Classic Soul night, at the home of Sherwood Forest Soul Club. All proceeds are in aid of the British Heart Foundation and will be added to the totals of our Charity, Acacia Soul Sessions. DJs are Paul Lightly, Martin Manning, Baz Donaldson and Colin (Jona) Jones. Doors open at 7.15pm and you can buy wristbands beforehand at £4.50 each, or on the door at £5.00.
