Dear Friends and family, Once again we would like to express our thanks for all the lovely messages and stories. The funeral will be held at St Johns church in Essington on Wednesday 23rd June at 1pm, all friends are welcome, to be followed by a private ceremony at Bushbury Crematorium. Arrangements to be confirmed regarding the wake at the stables, Brookfields. Lots of Love, Linda, Katie and James xxx

Thanks to everyone for your kind and loving messages and memories at this very sad time. We know how much you all meant to our Dad and how passionate he was about his music. He was the most kind, loving and gentle person who our hearts will never forget. We are thankful he did such great things with such great people and that he will always be treasured. It is difficult to know what to say, I don't think we really believe it, but it is good to know there are so many of us to support and look out for each other, for which we can only give our sincere thanks. it was possibly pressed in the uk the company was polydor(polygram) what interests me is that they were returned for credit!! so why did my shop get 6 copies mixed in a 25 count box!! did the wharehouse to to get rid of them on the sly instead of destroying them!! thats why it would be interesting to know if any other dealers recieved any!! if not then with only a dozen copies out there it surely must be the rarest!! max...

not a boot!! an official legitimate pressing that somehow an inst was pressed instead of a vocal!! max..

AS FAR AS I UNDERSTAND IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A CUSTOM UK PRESSING!! MAY HAVE BEEN 1000 COPIES FOR A WELL KNOWN SOUL SUPPLIER!! WHEN THEY ARRIVED THEY FOUND A TOTAL MISPRESS!! INST INSTEAD OF VOCAL!! THEY KEPT 6 COPIES AND RETURNED THE REST FOR CREDIT AND ASKED FOR THE VOCAL AS ORDERED!! THIS WAS NAUGHTILY SUPPLIED AND ALSO ISSUED BY THE RECORD COMPANY!! I HAD A BOX OF THE VOCAL ARRIVE AT MY SHOP TO MY SUPRISE IT CONTAINED 6 INST COPIES!! SO THAT MAKES 12 KNOWN COPIES!! IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO KNOW IF ANY OTHER DEALERS ALSO GOT ANY INST COPIES!! max...

THE REPS THAT CALLED AT MY SHOP USED TO HAVE 10 DEMO COPIES OF MOST TUNES TO SPREAD ROUND THE AREA THEY COVERED!! MULTIPLY THAT BY 20 ODD REPS AND THEN OF COURSE THEY SENT OUT TO MOST RADIO STATIONS IN THE COUNTRY!! SO YOU WOULD HAVE TO SAY THEY PRESSED AT LEAST 500 COPIES!!
