  1. You reckon the UK 7 on Johns site is modest at £200? Really?
  2. Ay up mate A tad too modern for you old timers! Hope you're well Martyn. Peter
  3. Hi Paul No problem. Here's the one I bought - it's a Spanish release in the picture cover. https://www.discogs.com/Alma-Faye-Dont-Fall-In-Love/release/3208106 Be interested to hear of any other interesting stuff that you found in your dads collection. All the best. Peter
  4. I'm pretty sure I bought one of these last year -I could be wrong. I'll have a look later. If I'm right it was a cheapy and I seem to recall that it was Dutch or Belgian 7. Peter
  5. Hi Sean Hope you're all well Sir. Peter
  6. Wow! They're amazing pictures Martyn. Award winning stuff imo. Petre
  7. It was definitely played at all niters as a new release in 1982.
  8. Yep was a massive record at Clifton Hall John. I reckon Sean Hampsey and Steve Mannion. Peter
  9. Now here's a funny thing. I've always thought that this had a dodgy line/lyric - even posted it up on here before and no one challenged me. But, I've just listened to the record again and it appears I've been wrong for the last 30 odd years! Doh! Have a listen at 2.09 - I thought he was singing "you can move a car" - but just realised he says "you can over come". LOL
  10. Never really a fan of 12's and that's the case with this one. P
  11. Yep, would have been played there too. A big dance floor hit for sure. I've got a battered 7 and still like the record. I think the 12's are more available than the 7's.
  12. Clifton Hall and Cleethorpes Winter Gardens and everywhere in between I think Ady.I think the 7 was played first but I could be wrong - it was a long time ago! Great dance track. Peter Edit - Probably worth mentioning that it was also booted on that SOS label.
  13. Great shout. Luther did a credible but very different version with his silky vocals - but The Temptations is best. https://youtu.be/z8ALeqm_Xbk?list=RDz8ALeqm_Xbk Peter
  14. It's no problem - we regularly rerun threads. I tried a quick search for the old thread but couldn't find it. I'm sure people will post on your new thread. The Originals track has quite a lot of history/interest.
  15. There's been a few Motown threads previously - but worth running again. Here's mine Peter
  16. Sad to hear this news. The fella had great taste in music. Condolences to his family and friends. Peter
  17. Yep, deffo him. It's very reminiscent of his vocals on I Just Found Out - another fantastic track.
  18. Great taste everyone - very nice. The unmistakable Freddie Hughes track is wonderful and new to me Chris. Nice one. Peter
  19. All about opinions isn't it Russ. I was being a bit fast and loose with the "crap" tag. It's not crap - just not my cup of tea. A bit doo woppy for my deaf ears. LOl
  20. All good here Sir thanks. I hope all is well with you. (I was showing your pictures to someone at work last week - he had just come back from his annual trip to Tenby. He was bowled over!)He didn't get any pictures like yours but said the sea was full of jelly fish. Ad Libs is still crap though!
  21. It's not even a very good record. Obviously IMO.
  22. Cracking John - playing it now. Thanks for taking the time. Peter
  23. I think I came to that one with Gavin. After Gavin's set we drove down to Dave T's Gloucester all niter - got stopped by the police on the M1! Peter
