  1. Evening Steve They're great mate. Particularly like the middle one as it speaks to you. Hope that makes sense - getting a bit arty farty in my old age. I blame to photographers! Peter
  2. Could be - it's a big mystery! Hope you're well my friend. Pete
  3. Really? 70's/80's track? Nice. Hoope you well mate. P
  4. Hi Chalky I'd nearly forgotten about that. Stunning soul record. P
  5. All of Gerri Grangers lyrics - beautiful.
  6. And if I have to search this world to find that girl that's what I'll do Daybreak.
  7. Do not call me Shirley!
  8. Not an 80's record though - maybe not even 70's but late 60's
  9. Motherfox? Not female though - awesome riff and record though. Using top Sam spins as my guide - and last guess from me. Flight
  10. Not rare but mid tempo, female and spoken introduction - superb soul record anyway.
  11. Good luck mate. Peter
  12. I'm not sure of current value mate - always a sought after record. There's a vg demo on discogs now but it doesn't really say how good or bad the vg is. The 7 is better! Here you go boss. https://www.discogs.com/sell/item/267523860?ev=bp_det
  13. Nice record Chris. Might help in your hunt if you to specify the 7 or 12. Peter
  14. Hiya mate. Yep, the salmon are at the end of their lives - spawn and die. It's nature of course but poignant nonetheless. Their end of life plays a significant role not just in producing the next generation of salmon but also in terms of enriching the river with nutrients from their decaying bodies. They also single handedly sustain numerous bear populations. Their story is one of wildlife's miracles. Peter
  15. Nice pictures again Steve. I was stuck in a council committee room all morning! Talking of catching salmon how about this. I'm not sure whether there are ethical issues with it or not? https://youtu.be/u7YAXBEPqyM
  16. Spot on Byrney.
  17. Not a fisherman myself - although I did used to be when I lived at Mablethorpe, cod lines and lots of crab pots. Anyway, here's a super sized pike. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8hwovkmrAg Peter
  18. As I entered the ball room I was greeted by a scene of dance. Dance scene. As has been said been plenty of stuff played over the years that is as foreign to soul music as it is to country and western. Having said that there's been some country and western stuff................................................................................................................................................................................................................
  19. Just been playing Norman Connors' Take it to the Limit - and realised that Ada is the vocalist on that too. Never made the link before. Peter
  20. My memory of Barnaby Bye is when the lyric got to "Can't live this way, Whoo" everyone's right hand went up and over their heads. It's no soul record but it was a big record and had it's place in time. Quite incidentally, someone at work has just had a baby and has named him Barnaby - I emailed everyone a link to Can't Live This Way on youtube.
  21. Thanks Martyn Isn't that a beautiful creature - stunning. Can almost sense holding the little thing and feeling the warmth of it's life in my hands. Peter
  22. Lovely record though. I hope you find one. Peter
  23. Yes, it's fantastic. Thanks Matt. Peter
  24. But clearly devoid of any ESP!
