  1. Mentioned this a few times on different threads, but........................................ I know a geezer from Nottingham who was Gene's tour drummer. Apparently, at breakfast after a gig in some hotel the drummer - can't remember his name but will try, asked Gene about the scoff. Gene said give the boy biscuits - I assume some Americanism in there.
  2. Hi Kev Hope all is well mate. This is proper innit. Peter
  3. Evening All Not posted for ages (again) so don't know if this has been spun by anyone? The super, dooper, Bobby Hutton - what a soul man. Flip of Loving You........... Proper soul music. Pedro
  4. I've mentioned this before but worth posting again. I saw Eddie Holman live at Hinckley and was blown away by his vocals. Was left thinking how the fcuk can someone sing like that live. Peter
  5. Quite a few more people interested in Arthur Alexander. It's worth a ton all day in my book - probably more if someone wants one badly. Peter
  6. Yep, some nice records been listed Martin. Can't see any posts or feedback suggesting that any of them sold though?
  7. Saw one for sale at £200 not so long back. Nice record. Peter
  8. Really sorry to hear this. Peter
  9. Nice one Dave. More good stuff from Soul Junction. Peter
  10. Nice to have the sleeve notes. Hope you're ok Ian. Don't see you on here so much. peter
  11. They featured on a recent spring watch series - might have been 2014. Incredible birds.
  12. Yep, that does work. Apologies mate. Peter
  13. Not my cup of tea. Number 2 reminded me of Cliff Richard.
  14. Thanks Mark The scan doesn't read too well though. P
  15. A very good shot. I think it's a bittern and they are very shy and secretive. P
  16. Dunno why - but that made me smile Chris! After all, I was sitting on the fence. LOL
  17. Now that is one hell of a nasty record. There may be some apple in that crumble - but there ain't any fecking soul. Orrible fecking thing.
  18. No problem mate. As I said people on here are a good bunch and some of the posts are just trying to be helpful in terms of you maximising your sale. It can be labour intensive and quite tricky - I for example wouldn't have the patience or time to grade mine, offer them for sale, package them up etc. I would probably do a deal with one of the sellers. But, as you rightly say, they are your records. I hope you get the best possible price - however you decide to sell, and I'm sure you'll make some buyers happy in the process. Best of luck Nigel. Peter
  19. Nigel hasn't provided any specific prices though has he - just an opening gambit on the job lot. I'm sure Rod will put us right if we have faux-pas'd
