  1. Thanks. Do you know who played it.
  2. Ha! Think talking a lot, non stop, mostly rubbish, and dancing your arse off for 48 hours.
  3. Ay up my mate Hope all is well. My memory is very poor at best but I'm not sure that I remember hearing the Del Larks played out ever. That's a real strange one - particularly given the story behind the song. thanks for the info Kegsy. Pete
  4. Who played this first then? I know fcuk all but I thought that Keb played that much, much later. I really don't remember hearing it played back, back in the day. Peter
  5. Wow! Thats fantastic Steve. Absolutely first class mate - and obviously very seasonal. Pete
  6. Do you still live in Loughborough? They wouldn't have sold much breakfast in my hey day!
  7. Well I suspect we ought to know each other - at least by sight! Got some good pictures of Cleethorpes in the gallery. A couple of good threads on here too. pete
  8. Of course they didn't mate. My profile picture is from either Cleethorpes Winter Gardens or Clifton Hall. Did you go to either? Do we know each othet? Where are you from Mick? So many questions, so little time.
  9. Ha! Apologies it was Mick.
  10. You asked me where my profile picture was taken didn't you?
  11. My profile picture is either Cleethorpes Winter Gardens or Clifton Hall from memory - probably Cleethorpes.
  12. Don Ray and Cecil Washington. Played back to back if I remember correctly at Derby Assembly Rooms circa 1979. Still like Don Ray although Cecil Washington is in a class of its own. One of the best soul records ever recorded/played. Haunting, atmospheric song not matched by many. Also seem to recall Sue Lynn and Tony Basil - awesome dance track. Pete
  13. I suspect it probably is.
  14. The point is you don't. Unless you're prepared to travel. If you're not then stick to your nostalgia nights with boring dj's playing boots of the top five hundred wanky northern records - probably half of which aren't even soul records.
  15. Ha! I'll remember that next time I'm in the chippy.
  16. I presume chunk is a Norfolk name for a pike Chris?
  17. I suppose Johnny Scott is too obvious.
  18. Perhaps a little too subtle for you. Is your key board knackered? The upper case command is stuck.
  19. Is that Luther?
