  1. I've a few Keb Darge inspired cd's - one of them is an absolute stonker! But doh, I can't think of the title - it escapes me now. The one I have in mind has the Del Larks - Job Opening and Tony Fox's - Love, Let Love and Be Loved and loads of other top sides on. Very decent man that Mr Darge. Peter
  2. Washlively (strange name ) mentioned this one. A few of my favourite records on this one.
  3. Happy Birthday Andy One of Boston's finest - evergreen lad. Peter
  4. Thanks everyone so far - I've run out of likes and it's only 7.30am. I must be such a likeable chap! Quite a few there that I'm not aware of but can check out now. Peter
  5. I had Skip Mahoney - stonking dance record, lined up and you beat me to it. Aretha Sing One For Me - George Jackson. Peter
  6. Which one Simon? Peter
  7. Hello mate. It's been a while, I hope you're well. That, is a cracking picture of a beautiful bird. Peter
  8. Thanks for sharing these; they're really interesting. I will follow the thread with great interest. Peter
  9. There's been loads of northern soul compilations over the years. A couple of tracks just came up on my feed which reminded of the RCA Jumping at the Go Go album. Can we try and get a list of decent albums with DJ sponsored sleeve notes. You get the gist - I hope. I think this is a bit of a monster album - was it 1978/9? Jumping at the Go Go - Richard S Thanks Peter
  10. Nothing impressive, but this cheered my low mood today. It's pretty isn't it.
  11. Now the Delites is a proper record. Has been in my favourites since my formative all niter days - circa 1979. First heard played at Derby Assembly Rooms all niter I think.
  12. Ha! I meant my comment wasn't helpful!
  13. Not very helpful but I hope you get a decent, and above all, a fair price for your records. Peter
  14. His auction successes, I guess, perhaps answers your question.
  15. Greg Perry - It Takes Heart For years I thought he was singing, "You can move a car", it wasn't until my senior years I finally heard correctly, it was "You can over come". Doh!
  16. I'm sorry you're having trouble. Life is full of people who, absolutely shamelessly, want to extort money, betray friendships, and cause misery. I'm having my life made a misery at the moment by two individuals. Not record related. I hope you manage to resolve your issue and righteousness prevails. Peter
  17. Hi Tony I hope you're ok. There's nothing wrong with those photographs - they brought back lots of memories. That's what photographs are all about; creating and evoking memories and experiences. Thanks for taking the time to post them up. Best wishes Peter
  18. Lovely garden mate. Peter
  19. Sounds like you've had a great time. I've done the waterfall walk at Ingleton - many years ago. I need to get on some punishing hikes. I'm putting weight on again. It's a bit of a problem as I can't take my Ace anywhere due to his reactiveness, oh well, I'm pleased I have him. Peter
  20. Well, you're not alone on not being able to enjoy a pint anymore.
  21. Not at all Mick. You enjoy yourself mate. Peter
  22. I concur, it's not real but does look nice. It looks too clean apart from anything else. It's a decent track by Brenda though. Peter
  23. Sounds good Mick. You can't be a million miles away from me. Blimey, I'd love a drink. Just to chill and to take the edge off things. I've not touched a drop since Friday 4th December 2021. That's some achievement for me - for anyone who likes a drink I guess. Enjoy your tipple and the rest of the day mate. Peter
  24. Even my vet mentioned this and said don't flea your dog every month routinely. If they're not infested with fleas don't do it - simple. I don't flea Ace any more. He's relatively free of fleas and stuff - well he doesn't scratch himself silly nor his he in any discomfort so I don't bother. I'm just one - but it's got to start somewhere. Peter
