  1. I never really bought any record so that I could kick and sit on it. I guess we all have our foibles. I did once buy an expensive collectors car to cook my dinner on. For some reason it didn't work and the car caught fire. Fcuk, funny that.
  2. I was pulling your leg - hence the smileys! P
  3. We can dig you out some hundred mile an hour white crap if you like!
  4. She's abdolutely gorgeous and the fellas are soooo cool! Always look like they're really enjoying themselves too. Love their music and the vids. Pete
  5. First Rock and Roll post for 2017. And as tradition always dictates it's the old lad from Hull.
  6. Its a super soul record. Would sit well in any DJ set. Just shows that class does not always have to = lots of cash. Pete
  7. Never heard that Mick. Nice one. Just lacking a bit of "soul" depth on the vocal and backing. As you say might be better with a decent sound file. Pete
  8. Crank/pitch the deck up to frantic and you get La Bamba! Happy New Year pal. Pete
  9. Mm, now you mention it I would perhaps not wager my Swiss Movement!
  10. Here's my pick for today. May have posted ages ago. Nice on the yellow vinyl. pete
  11. Great vid and Sir Dickie introducing the record. I get the La Bamba comparison.
  12. I've never really been a die hard "northern" fan mate. Didn't like all the shitty pop stuff, instrumentals and hundred mile an hour shite. I like my music soulful. Of course lots of great soul music was and is still played on the "northern" scene. But yes things are different today. If that all makes sense.
  13. Yep, it's no soul record for sure. But, its probably one of the best dance tracks that's ever been played on the northern scene. Still sounds great today and I suspect it still rams the floor. I think it's great. Pete
  14. With a lttle help from you know who!
  15. Don't like classic stompers. Don't like any stompers!
  16. Might get scolded for posting this. I dont care! I've always loved this record since I began my personal journey into soul music. It's beautiful and so is the video in so many ways.
  17. Well done Kev A bit of leadership! I was going to do it but didn't want to step on Dave's toes! Nice track. Happy New Year mate. Pete
  18. I don't know.
  19. Never really got the Exus Trek - but then again I dont like instrumentals. The vocal however is a thundering soul record. Great vocalist is Luther. Pete
  20. Happy New Year everyone. Its been a blast on SS again. Cost me a few quid in records mind! Peter
  21. Yep, its a lot of money. But, if you have the money to spend and you want the record then you'll buy it.
  22. Ah, Mr Woomble! Yep, he's a god lad who knows a tune or two. He likes a drink or two too - just like me!
  23. Nice one. You love scooters other people prefer records. Each to their own innit. I have to say that I have had thoughts of buying a scooter this year. Probably part of my mid life crisis. I had a Lambretta 200 when I was fourteen. I think that's what it was - great nic too. We used to ride it on the beach and roads around Mablethorpe. Unlawful behaviour of course but we never got done!
  24. It's a super soul record. Any soul collector/dj would like one of those............................................. surely. Well I would. Do not call me Shirley! Peter
