  1. All of your pictures are great Steve. However, the Puffin collection are absolutely stunning - worthy of any wildlife magazine/website. Well done mate. Pete
  2. Yep, absolute massive record from the early 80's and probably my top pick at the time. . The reason I sold up is that I had a fair few records like this stolen. Never thought I would contemplate buying them back due to the price and availability - but then you get sucked into the zone! I bid on one the other night. Pete
  3. How beautiful is this? The Jones Girls - previously unreleased but on a PIR anniversary 45. Baby Dont Go - so, so pretty. Turn up the bass and the volume.
  4. Wow! Nice back garden. Have you any other pictures to give us some context please mate? thanks Pete
  5. The much maligned pigeon. You've captured its beauty there Steve. Great photo Sir. Pete
  6. I have just reclaimed part of the drive to extend the garden a bit. Here's the newish fence and gate. Still need to sort out the extra area - probably going to install some raised beds to grow some herbs and vegetables. I have spurts of motivation amongst my low mood and depression so things take a little while with me. I'm very fortunate to have my brother who kicks my arse into gear when necessary.
  7. A very humble and rare offering from me - me garden, taken on my i phone. The Christmas tree on the right is the first tree me and my ex partner had together. Replanted it in the garden - its been there for 20 years now. You can also see a nice Rosemary shrub and my Johnson Blue. I am very lucky to have no neighbours on one side just fields, stables and the canal.
  8. The Prince, Muscle Shoals and Alabama - got to be good innit.
  9. Yep, its a great soul record. From the same album, and just as good. https://youtu.be/lqajTgTb50Q
  10. Both decent records Rick but Charlie is king. Still regularly blast that one out at home. To this day there are a few lyrics that I've never nailed down!
  11. Here's a cheapy from me - played at the After Dark Cleethorpes Niters early 80's as opposed to the Pier. Great dance track.
  12. Sticking with Rick's theme here's a real East Coast Connection. The East Coast Connection - Summer in the Parks.
  13. Nice pick again Rick. Yes the flip is a stunning deep record. Will have a dig round later for a Cleggy classic.
  14. Spinning a few tonight - in and out of the garden, having a good drink up and making take away curry for ten people at work, which I will deliver on Monday. I've played this before but have just had it banging out here - just right for my mood tonight. A bit of Chicago soul, The Chimes - Beginning of My Life.
  15. Don't generally post 60's stuff but I was really taken with this when I first started going to all niters in 1979 - it was a big, big record back then. Absolute stonker of a dance record with superb vocals, sax and horns. Lou Roberts and the Marks - You Fooled Me. Does it get played out today?
  16. I think it is LP only. Unlike some of the other great tracks on there which did escape onto 45's. One of my favourite girl groups.
  17. Always loads of records to buy and sell. In my opinion people looking to predict the market and then thinking of selling are perhaps buying for the wrong reasons. I dont expect to recoup anything back from my collection as I am buying because I like the record - irrespective of the price. Just a personal opinion.
  18. Yep, so pretty Dave. Got a few of their tracks including this one.
  19. Pretty sure I've posted this before - but hey ho. My favourite Freddie Hughes track - although I dont know too much about his other stuff. Super vocals on a super super, soul record. I Just Found Out. Ave it.
