  1. I dont like the twelve inch version of anything, nothing. They are always boring, dragged out monotony.
  2. Quite a few here. Sorry - I didn't see the earlier post! https://www.discogs.com/sell/release/612197?ev=rb
  3. Sounds of Blackness are a sound gospel/soul group.
  4. you're all splitting hairs - I'll mention you in my prayers! Pete
  5. Im always playing this full blast through my wireless headphones. You cant beat a bit of Van.
  6. How good is this vid - absolute magic. Loads of different artists have done this. My favourite Nina Simone is just top trumped by this video masterpiece. Sammy Davis Junior - Mr Bojangles. Beautiful.
  7. A couple on discogs too. Pete
  8. John and the Weirdest “one single hairpin lying on the floor, a lonely little doggie crying at your door.”
  9. If you like rock and roll! Pete
  10. Not read the whole thread so apologies if this has been posted already. Absolute class Philly Soul from the great, late Teddy Pendergrass. One of the first albums I ever bought and one of my favourites.
  11. That’s absolute class my friend. Never heard it before. Edwin was so underrated - I was a late convert. He was laid to rest in the same cemetery as my mum. God bless them both. Pete
  12. Link?
  13. Nice one mate. Pete
  14. Think that's probably the orange in poor light.
  15. Yep, absolutely. Just splitting hairs.
  16. Not posted for a bit............ The Masqueraders - Sweet Sweetning
  17. I'm pretty sure the yellow was first. If nothing else it's based on the fact that I'm always last to get a record and mine is orange! p
  18. Ay up Chalky! I think the yellow press is dated 1979 and the orange as 1980. I've got the orange one which I think I got from John at Soul Bowl. Always liked the lyrics. All the best mate. Pete
  19. First and second press of this. 1st is yellow 2nd orange. Plenty about and I would say £40 - but that’s a guess. Who knows in today’s market! Big spin in the early 80’s. Nice record. Pete
  20. Hiya Dave Think I might have sorted replacement 45 from someone on here now. Hope you and Brian are tickety boo! Pete
  21. Hi Steve Pete Smith had one on a recent list. Worth asking. Pete
  22. Pleased you’re on the road to recovery Dean. All the best Pete.
  23. Its a stunning record isn't it Baz. One of those down tempo things that actually pumps up the tempo - if that makes sense. It does to me anyway - all to do with getting that half and one third of a beat. Pleased you liked the sort recommendation mate. Pete
  24. Yep thanks Baz. I’ve lost my 45 and wanted to replace that. Might buy one of the albums if nothing doing on here. thanks again Buddy. Pete
  25. Last bump - please.
