  1. Thank you very much for posting the playlists - really interesting. It would b e great to see Sam's and Arthur's. Peter
  2. I was just pulling your leg mate! Thank for the clip though. Pete
  3. Well thanks for the clip!
  4. I saw Sharday live at Ronnie Scotts before she became famous - she was really, really good. Pete
  5. I';m happy enough making new friends on here, buying the occasional record for my crap collection, and having pissed up soul nights, on my own, in my front room - usually in memory of Little Smith. LS was my old cat - he's been dead for 7 years now but I still feel him jump on my bed regularly. And there you have it - an insight into my very mentalist ways! Pete
  6. That's a fair reflection Chalky. Having said that I don't go to do's any more so the Soul Police probably think that I don't have a right to comment! If I think back to some of the capers we got up to many people wouldn't believe it. It was a fantastic time and place for me and it could never be replicated. I did it and I'm happy that I did.
  7. Give it another go Rob. Pete
  8. Not too sure about me Baz. I’m over weight and a bit wrinkly. I do think my up to date picture captures the kindness in me, I like that about that particular photo. Keep posting everyone it’s been a lovely thread. Pete
  9. You’re still handsome Bro! Pete
  10. Magazine quality mate - superb stuff. P
  11. That's a pretty damn nice picture mate. Pete
  12. Nice one Steve. Was it cold? I've recently started to go for a swim every Sunday lunch time at a leisure centre nearby. I love the water but hadn't been for over ten years due to my being a porker and depression. I'm enjoying it and getting a bit fitter. Pete Wow!
  13. Wow! What big ears you have Grand Dad. Is that a syrup?
  14. Evening Baz I shall look forward to comparing lug holes! You’re a good lad Baz. Another SS friend in the bag.
  15. Did anyone notice how my ears have shrunk over the years. No more Toby Jug, Wing Nut, Big Ears for me!
  16. Where's Back Drop Billy when he's really needed?
  17. Really sorry to hear this. I only know Mark from on here - he posted a few pictures of him and his dog a while back Pete
  18. Every picture posted is good therapy. pete
  19. Great post Chalky. What a fantastic legacy Richard has given us. 1979 was when I really started - although Wigan 1981 and Clifton Hall, and Cleethorpes Winter Gardens under Steve Crofts stewardship were my best years. Yate was tainted due to the massive coach drive back - sick as a dog and bouts of paranoid schizophrenia. Pete
  20. Wow! Looks great Steve. Happy hunting - with the camera ibviousky. I hope you and Lou have a fantastic time and that the weather holds up for you. Pete.
  21. The soul scene for many was a dance scene, not everyone, but I would suggest a majority. Holly St James is never going to be a soul record - I'm purposely not using the term "northern", but it is a fantastic, atmospheric, dance record, particularly so for the majority of attendees, who were off their faces on amphetamine. It is a record that I still like hearing. Pete
  22. Spot on Mark Really uplifting.
