I had to see the liver consultant at Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham this morning. I was very anxious and was accompanied by my mental health care coordinator Danielle.
The hospital was spotless, staff warm, friendly and reassuring; including the consultant who was very informative and very lovely. Everything completed exactly on time. I can't think of any thing they might have done to improve things.
My liver disease is stable, and just need to have two scans and another endoscopy in the next month. So, I'm pleased with everything. Not having had a drink since December 4th 2021 has been the main factor.
So, despite years of cuts and a starvation of funds the people running things are doing an amazing job.
Three cheers for our amazing doctors, nurses, consultants ,administrative staff, the cleaners and anyone else.
