  1. Err well, yeah right - he's the youngest one on there. Right fashionable geezer - great toons. Tra la la la!
  2. The guy second right at the back looks like Graham Taylor - didn't know he was a soul jock. Mind you he wasn;t a football manager!
  3. It's a great shot - but where's them bloody beatle boots!
  4. I think you're both right. There's some fooking impressive knowledge on here. Any more info on it - I'm sure it was covered as Roddy something - maybe not. Cheers.

  6. Just been reading another thread and a track I haven't heard played anywhere for ages came into my mind - can't even remember the title or the artist! Or maybe I can.............it's coming back to me. Was there a track by Roddy Joy - probably covered up at the time, might have been Richard at Wigan. The lyrics go something like this Somebody's been teaching you Showing you how Any takers?
  7. I'm not sure that I totally agree with that at all.
  8. Didn;t I Blow Your Mind This Time - Delfonics
  9. I think he was - but didn;t stop to badger him.
  10. I used to get the lists from Soul Bowl and bought some bits and pieces - mainly seventies and eighties stuff. I guess a lot of people on here know John Anderson fairly well - I don't, apart from exchanging cheques and orders and the odd phone call when something was out of stock. However, his courteous service and general friendliness left a lasting impression - can still recall the odd nice note he would enclose with yer discs. Thought I'd share that.
  11. Got hassled at Birmingham once - it was only some piss taking at me patchwork denim bags - thinking back they probably should've slapped me. Those denim bags were shite - even me mother said they looked crap. There was then the fight outside Notts Odd Fellows niter in Leics - early 80's. That was really down to some NF lot I think - shouting filth at a couple of the Notts lads we were with. I think it is fair to say that they were taught a lesson in education.
  12. I love looking at stuff like this - nice one mate.
  13. Walking home from the pub last night I meandered round a dark, unlit corner and bumped into a badger. He was not happy to see me.
  14. Modern soul is good - there's no doubt about it.
  15. I Dig Your Ass - opps sorry Act O'Jays
  16. I totally agree mate - soul music at it's best. I'm not sure where I heard if first - but definitely think it was one of Sam's. Npw there's a man who loves and knows his soul.
  17. Wicked mate. Was that a Soul Sam spin?
