  1. It's damn good too.
  2. This was just to start us off Ken - what's for seconds then?
  3. Thanks Ken So can I get one for fifteen quid?
  4. Just to some up then - cos I'm thick. There are two legitimate issues of this - the first issue being the red label and the second issue with the orangey label. Is that correct? And what would you pay for either then - I lost mine - or broke it, and wouldn't mind replacing it?
  5. No way man! There's no comparison with the vocals - different league. IMO of course!
  6. That's an interesting question - were you a fan of Guy and Kebs sixties newies era Pete? I know I certainly wasn't!
  7. Aha Pete - but not worse than the Carstairs then! I knew you'd regret taking that hammer to that piece of vinyl - it's playing on yer mind.
  8. I think Time Together is a class tune Simon - might have been a bit overplayed in the early 80's but I never tired of hearing it - and as you say still sounds great. I've got the Spice 45 too. Don't know too much else about him. Spice is quite a nice bit of Southern soul. I seem to recall - although I'm no expert that the Time Together 45 was released twice and that the second press is inferior to the first - I think there are some differences on the label too. As I say I could be mistaken cos I'm not an expert. Class tune though.
  9. Hi Bearsy Where you been all day? You haven't been off that sofa have you - steady young man you'll get a nose bleed! Yes I'm a lazy ne'r do well mate. I'm off to see the mighty reds slaughter some sheep tonight. Have you heard about all the trouble at the county game last night? Unheard of - but quite funny.
  10. I've never heard that before. I've heard a lot worse played out. Similar stuff to this used to be played out in the late seventies early nineties.
  11. What about that seventies toon "Life ain't what it used to be" - can't recall the artist from memory. There's a line in that "When one neighbour got in trub The rest would be there on the dub" I like this record - but that's a bad line man!
  12. Not enough detail Mr Trouble. Anyway - why London? I think the Isle of Skye would be a far nicer location.
  13. Simon Any idea what the bootleg album is worth then? £20 - £30?
  14. Yes it does. And yes Barry - some of the toons were still covered up.
  15. Yep - ten quid is about right. Seem to think that I bought mine from Tomorden.
  16. I think it's actually called WFON FM - All Night Long - it is a cracking album - but it is dodgy!
  17. Hey Bearsy Your link is firing blanks - it pops up and says "Page not responding" - do you have that sort of problem in your private life?
  18. So what is the price of the 45 these days? Seem to remember having this off John Anderson early 80's - and like a lot of stuff then it was fairly cheap.
  19. Mmm - definitely not referring to the dodgy LP then - I think that's the one referred to earlier though with Man of Value on it. I guess I'm the only one with dodgy albums!
  20. Not sure if it's that dodgy WFON radio lp or something like that - I've got a battered old one. It's got Otis Clay, Tyrone Barclay, Cherrel Berdyl etc on it. Flip has some decent sixties on - the Professionals etc.
  21. I think it is fair to say that Simsy - but only a little bit!
  22. Class mate! I myself prefer modern oldies - just can't get this soulful house! That should throw the spanner in more than Pete's direction!"!
  23. I like all different stuff - but err on the dark modern side these days. Just thinking about lyrics got me thinking of Castle's in the sand were built by hand don't need no bricks to make em stand ........... tra la la la! Great lyrics all the way through.
  24. Don't remember this Mark. Any chance of a sound clip?
