  1. I'm not really into all this heated debate about OVO, boots, carvers etc. Mainly because it get's done to death on here and it is now probably one of the most tedious fecking topics on the site. But, what does intrigue me is that it appears that it's ok if some people are involved in some way and making a bit of cash out of it along the way - but not others. Why is that? Why hasn't this thread suddenly got a hundred or so vitriolic, foul mouthed rants about the seller who is clearly selling stuff that isn't legit? Or am I missing something. Like I said I'm not that interested either way but it smacks of hypocracy to me. If I've missed something I'm happy to hold my hands up and apologise - but I'm not sure that I have.
  2. Yep, always been intrigued by this Martyn We had a discussion about the lyrics of this a while back. Peter
  3. In the olden days you would have just told em to fook off!
  4. Sounds like a deal then - unless Pete has already sold it. We know he doesn't mess people about. He is grumpy though. LOL
  5. Mine was silver with red upolstery - a right set of wheels. Until A - Z fecking taxis pulled out in front of me and it was a right off. That front end when in like a pack of cards!
  6. Had a Ford Capri Ghia once.
  7. Fantastic record and great label design. Sold my minter about ten years ago for about £30 I reckon. Prices for this are all over the place good luck with it.
  8. I see what you're saying. But, here we go again! There's still a live thread running about this and numerous closed ones.
  9. Brilliant Steve I love the photo entitled "Dancing to a jukebox in Chicago, 1962" Talk about a picture painting a thousand words.
  10. Cheers mate I thought so. Not seen my copy for years and I'm pretty sure it's not on ABC.
  11. Mm nice tune. I still like this. Hope you get sorted. Does anyone know if this was booted - got one somewhere but reckon it's a boot. If hasn't I'll dig it out - it's buried somewhere and it aint' worth the hunt if it's a boot.
  12. That is pretty damn good! Don't think I've heard of em before - so thanks. Peter
  13. Hello. You can start a new thread and post em up there mate. We can all have a debate then. Welcome to SS.
  14. Of course - how silly of me! I think I had worked that out in my head once.
  15. That is an interesting point though Bob. I still pick up stuff and look at what's in the run out groove and think that's not s stamp it's scratched in by hand - and some of it obviously is. So, this might be an even more stupid question - but did pressing plants have people sat there scratching numbers etc in by hand? Must have been a bit resource intensive.
  16. From the anoraks site Bob https://www.anorakscorner.com/PressingPlantInfo.html
  17. It's not a patch on what I would expect. I'll get me coat now.
