The beautiful Phillis Hyman - and such a pretty voice. Far too young to have passed away. Not everyones cup of tea this but happy go lucky "summer" music.

Never bothered me. Walked, thumbed it, travelled on trains and buses - then got a car. Never bothered us and we had a few scrapes. I remember setting off home from Notts Odd Fellows at Leics in my silver, ford capreeeee ghia and some fecker had unscrewed me wheel nuts. Happy Days - mm, was a top all niter car me capri.
One hundred mile an hourer off the top of me head. The great Tommy Tate - You taught me how to love
I'll do mine via drip feed - or japanese torture. lol
In terms of timescales you are being very broad - Mecca through to the early 80's, yet very specific and prescriptive in terms of venues. Just for clarity you are referring to Cleethorpes era 1 (Mary Chapman) and era 2 (Steve Croft) in terms of niters and time scales?
You have posted some decent tunes to get things started.
But surely a legitimate release is a legitmate release? If a record company releases a record in the states and then releases it over here it's still original and playable as OV. I'm no serious collector and haven't bought stuff for years so I'll happily concede that I'm a prat but surely the above stance is over the top.
