  1. The beautiful Phillis Hyman - and such a pretty voice. Far too young to have passed away. Not everyones cup of tea this but happy go lucky "summer" music. Peter
  2. I like that too Mike - in fact I'm gonna play it now!
  3. Detroit Spinners - I'll be around beginning is pretty iconic imo.
  4. Fcuk me - 188 posts and it's still going strong. Now, where was that OVO thread?
  5. Hey Bill Checked out your link - some very nice pictures. Peter
  6. Never bothered me. Walked, thumbed it, travelled on trains and buses - then got a car. Never bothered us and we had a few scrapes. I remember setting off home from Notts Odd Fellows at Leics in my silver, ford capreeeee ghia and some fecker had unscrewed me wheel nuts. Happy Days - mm, was a top all niter car me capri.
  7. Reckon you got your gazoo mixed up with your bazoo Aid. Great tune this - from back in the day!
  8. I'm gonna check out that "gazoo thingy" - is it a gazoo thingy?
  9. Yep, nice one AID. Great funky choon. Peter
  10. reminded me of Curtis - boom, boom
  11. It's a goood job the thread isn't entitled "Intro's that Tony never fecking cottoned on to" then isn't it! Mr P
  12. Tonight my love, I believe that we are the only two people in the world Oh, by the way, did you bring your guitar? bang, bang, bang, bang
  13. I agree - Sir Dickie, Soul Sam, Poke, Gary Rushbrooke, could go on. Arthur Fenn....................
  14. Very nice Kev. Can't make my mind up as to whether I know this. Spinning on me head in the kitchen!
  15. One hundred mile an hourer off the top of me head. The great Tommy Tate - You taught me how to love I'll do mine via drip feed - or japanese torture. lol
  16. In terms of timescales you are being very broad - Mecca through to the early 80's, yet very specific and prescriptive in terms of venues. Just for clarity you are referring to Cleethorpes era 1 (Mary Chapman) and era 2 (Steve Croft) in terms of niters and time scales? You have posted some decent tunes to get things started.
  17. Don't come much better than this! Great record. Peter
  18. But surely a legitimate release is a legitmate release? If a record company releases a record in the states and then releases it over here it's still original and playable as OV. I'm no serious collector and haven't bought stuff for years so I'll happily concede that I'm a prat but surely the above stance is over the top. Peter
  19. No problem mate. Hope you get sorted.
