  1. I can't quite work out what it is you're trying to say - or indeed whether you are having a faint pop. Please could you elucidate?
  2. Nice one Stevie. Mr Wilson has a great voice and has done some great recordings through the years. I reckon he's a tad underrated? Peter
  3. Johnny Dean "I've got a feeling that we'll be seeing each other again" - great version. Can't find it on youtube - anyone have a clip? I don't have the where with all to get mine from vinyl to pc
  4. Another rescued from the filthy box! Another early 80's spin which didn't last long in terms of plays. Luckey David - It's Not Where You Start Peter
  5. Yes, it's a boot.
  6. So who did em then? It is quite tedious when people keep saying "Mm, I know but I'm not telling". If you're not prepared to say I would have thought it better to say nowt - rather than wanting to appear to be in the "know gang" and therefore being better than the rest of us.
  7. It's a nice record. Hope you get one. Looks like cd only though P
  8. There's a thread on The Supremes "Stormy" in look at your box. Sorry couldn't work out how to link - use the search button at the top right of the page Peter
  9. Used to love this and thought I'd lost it - found it chucked in that grubby old plastic chest last night. It's all battered and dirty - bit like mesen! Old Richard spin - Rick Sheppard, Can We Share It Peter
  10. You should hear the twelve Martyn - the intro is over two minutes long and very tedious!
  11. I like it. Sounds a bit outta tune at times - but that'll be me dodgy left ear.
  12. Ok, found this too. So, in the words of one of my favourite DJ's - lets be aving yer! Al Hudson - Spread Love. Night, night. Peter
  13. Last one from me tonight - been through a dirty old box of stuff and my hands are grubby! Should sort them old boxes out cos them records are a wasting. Used to love dancing to this and not heard it for ages. Was a big record early 80's - and like many of that era had a short shelf life. The Escorts - Sing a Happy Song. Peter
  14. Always tried to get a cold pint of milk down me at Cleethorpes winter gardens all niters - used to think it was a healthy balance to the gear. This isn't a top all niter experience but I used to do it.
  15. Mm, I'm drinking french brandy so that may well be a factor. Yes, some talent Andy. This particular record is all about her voice - not much else to it really. P
  16. I'm just posting up random things that I like - not necessarily northern. I hope that's ok. Here's a real melancholy tune - the best version (imo) out of many, many covers. Absolutely love it - it's a folk song really, blue eyed origins as we might say, but I think this ooozes my definition of soulful class. Nina Simone's take of Mr Beau Jangles - and he's still grieving after his dog up and died all those years ago. Beautiful. Peter
  17. The clip made me dizzy Andy! Not a bad tune though - nice and raw, not over produced. Peter
