  1. It has some nice lyrics and I always liked it. It is a bit formulaic and plonk plonk. Was a big record at Clifton Hall and Cleethorpes Winter Gardens. Pete
  2. Great photo's again chaps. I'm reviewing them whilst Ace is vigorously chewing his new toy far too close to my groin! Ouch!
  3. Just got mine - looks fab. Limited edition number 600.
  4. Keep the faith Johnny!
  5. Do yer like modern Mick?
  6. Hi Mick Welcome to SS. Pete
  7. I really dont get some of these descriptions of beer and wine - I just cant taste them. Sweet orange marmalade, pink grapefruit, a heady sense of cherries, apples dew, blah, blah, blah. I'm probably far too common.
  8. Here's Ace a couple of weeks after he arrived at the rescue centre from Romania. He was even thinner than this, poor lad.
  9. The quality of my photo's doesn't stand up against most of the professional ones on here. But here's m,y new rescue Doberman, Ace, in the part new kitchen.
  10. I didn't even notice that Ste!"
  11. This popped up on my twitter feed.
  12. Posted this incorrectly last time................... Rita without a doubt. What about the alternative Rita take which has an additional verse in it?
  13. Crap picture in comparison, but, here's a bedraggled looking me and Mr Handsome Doberman, Ace. Early morning for me at the National Water Sports Centre which is just round the corner from where I live. Still building my confidence with walking him as he reacts terribly to other dogs - he goes absolutely mad.
  14. So from beauty to the beast! Here's Ace, aka, the beast or lump. The pictures provide little context as regard the size of him - he's huge. Someone asked me in the week what he was - a Bengali Tiger.
  15. What a beautiful photograph. congratulations to you and your lovely daughter. Peter
  16. Rita without a doubt. What about the alternative Rita take which has an verse in it? P
  17. Well I've had a week with Ace the Beast now. He is extremely loving and affectionate but it has been really tough and yesterday I was worn down and in a bad place. He's huge, and very, very strong, and doesn't walk well on a lead. Perseverance is the key and I'm more positive today. Here he is - the pictures belie his size.
  18. 5 hours? Once? You soft Northern lad. I used to dance non stop all night - at every nighter.
  19. Derby Assembly Rooms all niters dance floor used to bounce with this track and many others. Pete
  20. A bit of an emotional and physical roller coaster yesterday. It as finally the day when I collected Ace from the rescue centre near Stoke. He is a beautiful example of a Doberman Pinscher in my view - but I'm bound to say that. He is also very big, and very very strong. Yesterday, he was amazingly affectionate, but I knew he was wary of him being let down again. You should see him today - he's already cottoned on that this is his forever home. I've walked him nicely on his lead without any pulling, and he sticks to my left knee. He understand come, sit, down, stay. He's amazing. He has also taken the liberty of making my brand new sofa his best bed!
  21. Mm, reminds me of an old hippy mate. Fed me hot magic mushroom liquor, cake and some Lebanese Red ganga. Fcuked me up real bad. I pushed my then girl friend over a fence on the way home, and had illucinations of some dwarf like, killer ventriloquist doll on the top of my wardrobe.
