Another one from me today. Keeping with Prince Philip Mitchell theme - Something for the Head. Now not much matches the superb Bobby Womack but I do prefer PPMs version of this one. Both great records - what do you think? It is PPM's song.

I know you can Mr Pickles - I've been with you when you've experienced the same shit too. I have memories of you, Shippo, Cleethorpes Winter Gardens ............. and a small white van.
I hope you're well buddy.
I'm still none the
Still don't get it Andy - sorry. The link I posted up has backing vocals and is smoother - that is the record I have. The other version - on Mr Fish's podcast and also on tinternet is very different but also has backing vocals. So - which one have I got and is there another version without any backing vocals?
Why is it that I've always had a drink when things like this come up?
So, are there two versions - the one Mr Fish has in his podcast and the link I posted up - or are there more? And which is which then - I'll never find mine out to check.
Thanks
Peter
Good Evening Jason
Hope yer ok Buddy.
Good shout this one - fecking awesome piece of soul music. There are a couple of mixes to this which are quite different and not sure which one Mr Fish has used - not checked out his podcast yet but will do. Here's a link to my favourite cut - I don't know the story about the different takes. I found this at my mums house - haven't a clue where it came from!

Got an old cd on the deck and Prince Phillip Mitchell I'm so Happy came on. Used to like this early 80's - still do! Quite a few people spinning it - Mr Hampsey included.
Post them up mate - we can then work through em and uncover em.
Fro memmory there would probably be - Top Cat - Larry Houston
Tyrone Davis (I Think) Daybreak
Phantom Janitor - Deadbeats
Just to kick off with a few - hope I haven't gone too much off topic
Will also single out Mr Barnyfather too - liked his taste in music for years and love his enthusiasm behind the decks. And he's a nice bloke too.
Let's be aving yer!
I'll third that. Sir Dickie's set around the 1980 time were - are, untouchable. Fantastic modern stuff alongside some of the best 60's new discoveries. Brilliant stuff. Set the bar and never been outdone in my book.
NOT FORGETTING THE AWESOME FLIP ..... BLUES TIME IN BIRMINGHAM ONE OF MY FAVE ALL TIME REAL SOUL RECORDS
Yes, beautiful record Flanny, beautiful.
Peter
Yeah, you told fecking porkies about that lead - and the copper piping.
Mm, does anyone call you, or even remember that we used to call you - a Pikey fecker!
LOL
It all appears to have been fairly painless Mike. When we've had server changes and stuff at work it's all gone pear shaped - lots of time. Loads of down time and all sorts of bad stuff.
Nice one buddy.
Peter
