  1. Thanks for the weekly heads up Chalky. Great show as usual, Candi Staton, setting the bar from the very first record. Guaranteed some good stuff with Tat's. Peter
  2. Wow! The first thing that comes to mind is just look at all that hair! Peter
  3. So Ady's jumpers don't jump! It's always a happier ending when jumpers don't jump. Peter
  4. If you're into music other than that of the soul genre.
  5. Yes Karl, they're the real thing product wise, just not licensed by Ady in his capacity of having licensed them.
  6. So I'm reading that the actual records are real in terms of their manufacture, but not licensed by Ady. Is that correct? Peter
  7. Dean's shows are always worth tuning into or catching up on. Great stuff, thanks Karl for diligently posting them up. Peter
  8. I guess I'm an over looked classic Mark; very over looked. I hope you are well. Peter
  9. You could only follow that with a helping of Joe 90! Peter
  10. It's a monster of a record. It sums up the whole northern soul music scene in just one 45, it really is that good. Atmospheric, moody and just right for the dance floor.
  11. Depends what mood I'm in. I think music is always about mood. Peter
  12. My friend Preacher Man quizzed me on them - I scored about 3.5! Ha! I know nothing. Peter
  13. Ah, I thought you meant that you'd watched an unbelievable true story i.e; that it was unbelievable. I didn't get that you meant that that was the name of the programme. Doh! Yes, I've seen that. It is very good.
  14. And the name of the programme?
  15. I just watched an extremely good Polish film - Justice. Highly recommended, some great acting.
  16. It's not a touch on Greater Experience; now that is a top northern soul record. Just saying like. Peter
  17. Lovelites were a fantastic group. Peter
  18. Back to the record in question............................... You can pick it apart bit by bit but; this is one of those records that typifies the old school "northern soul" monster. A proper record for dancers too. Peter

    Mablethorpe Soul All Dayer

Across the board soul all dayer. At Number 8 George Street.
  20. The first Terry Callier record I heard played out was Ordinary Joe; I guess the same goes for lots of others. Early 80's, played by quite a few people. Lots of versions I think. I think that was the question you were asking, rather than about his live performances, which I think came much later. Peter
  21. And a cracking appearance it was too. Some great choices from Karl, very mixed set. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Peter
  22. Yes, a super star of soul music Bobby. I bet it's mint. Peter
  23. Talking shit, with lots of love though. But; everyone is staring at you. You know, that bloke over there....................
  24. I've been flicking channels again. I'll try this after dinner Steve. Cheers. Peter
