As has been said if you only buy what you like you'll rarely be disappointed. That was always my philosophy as a collector.
And I was never disappointed. By way of example I remember buying a copy of the Blue Sharks on Gran Prix - when it was "uncovered" and the price fell a few people scoffed. But, I was very happy in having it - I always loved the record, the mystique it once had, and a minter looks beautiful on that label. I still love it and happy to own one - it's still a hard one to get hold of although it's obviously not a rarity in the grand scale of things.

Edit. Just to add to this, this was a big spin for Soul Sam at one point, I seem to recall he bought his copy back from a dealer in Italy, just for the very last all dayer at the Cleethorpes Winter Gardens before it closed for good. Everyone knows who the Blue Sharks really were don't they?
