  5. Never heard it.
  6. It's proper Northern Soul of the highest order no question. An awesome dance record that you can do some of those jerky moves to. Peter
  7. I bet it fecking did! It almost freaked me out here just now. If I have nightmares tonight............................ LOL Peter
  8. Sheeeat! That would have pushed me over the edge back in the day. :sweatingbullets: Fcuk - I can picture it now. Peter
  9. Sharp as a razor Prof. Peter
  10. I'm really pleased to hear that Jason - you're a good lad. Nodding terms was pals - I wasn't a big talker back then. I was a dancer, loved the music and the gear, and as a consequence suffered from the occupational hazzard of paranoia! You're definitely a pal of mine. Peter
  11. It's a nice shirt Prof, very fancy at the time. In them days I was engaged to a very pretty girl who was a hair stylist - she went on to great things and became a top stylist with Tony and Guy in Canada. Regards Nice.
  12. This was me back then - this might have been at Odd Fellows but can't really remember. Me and my best mate Terry used to drive over to Leics - and everywhere else, in his MG sports car, from the lincolnshire coast where I used to live. Roof down blasting out - amongst other things, Bobby Womacks two Poet albums. We were living the dream - and off our heads! Happy days eh. Peter
  13. Yep,he did didn't he. I was in my prime on the scene around this time I guess. If you recall Tony Clayton opened the seperate modern room at Odd Felllows - can't remember if it was upstairs or down - down stairs I think. I've got some cd's of Robins sets somewhere. I'll have to dig em out. Peter
  14. I'm not sure Barry. I only exchange the odd post on here now and again. Peter
  15. Robin is up on Teeside somewhere Prof. You will have seen him post on here - he was taking his bairn out sledging last week. He was always a likeable lad back in the day - err, and I'm sure he is now! peter
  16. Someone who always gets a mention in my book and rightly so is Sir Dickie - his sets in the early 80's set the bar without question. Soul Sam also had a great influence on me and the scene. Sean Hampsey gets a mention too because he has great taste - and knowledge, about soul music. If it's good it's good - no need for pigeon holing stuff. Peter
  17. I enjoyed Adams sets at Odd Fellows - not to forget Robin S at the time too. Peter
  18. I don't know anything about old clocks - but I quite like the thought of maybe having one. Have you any pics? Peter
  19. I'm very interesting. Peter
  20. Give us a clue - whats it go like. Lyrics, tempo? Peter
  21. Blimey Kev You're becoming very philosophical! A dj should just play good soul music - now that I know is far too simplistic. One dj's good soul music is another dj's shite. Peter
  22. This thread makes me feel like there are two sorts of users on the site - one set of users who can post up their perceived issues and grievances with sellers and ebayers almost immediately because they are "riled" yet other posters have to wait until the mods have been involved and exhausted all other options. Just an observation - but it doesn't feel like level playing field to me. Peter
  23. Which one MJ track is on the tape Russ? Peter
  24. Yes it was Mick - I haven't listened to the tape all the way through yet! Which trrack is on the tape then?
